I ignored over a dozen verses? As a former pretribber, I know the verses to which you refer, but do you demand for anyone to respond to one of your posts, that he write a book?

Here’s the thing, RWC, for every one of your “proofs,” all you have to do is look at the context. The context, just like in the passage you cited, Luke 21:28, “look up...for your redemption draweth nigh,” is the singular undivided second coming. About which, it appears, if there is ignoring, it is on your part that it is being done. Let’s look at the context, step by step.

1. The great tribulation: “Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled,” 21:24.

2. Then, “there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” Verses 25,26.
Jesus tells us in Matt. 24:29-31, “the powers of heaven are shaken” “immediately after the tribulation of those days,” the catastrophic heaven and earth signs of the day of the Lord.

3. This is when the Son of man is “seen coming in a cloud with power and great glory,” verse 27.

4. (verse 28) And the rapture takes place: “When these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
What things? The heaven and earth signs he had just described, after the great tribulation. Then is when you look up, for your redemption draweth nigh. Not for a pretrib rapture seven years prior to this.

5. (Verse 31) “When ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand,” verse 31.
The millennial kingdom is about to be ushered in.

6. (Verse 32, 33) “Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”

The generation that sees the aforementioned heaven and earth signs of coming catastrophe, of which verse 33 refers: “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”

7. (verse 34) “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.”
What day? Not an alleged pretrib rapture some seven years prior, but the day described in the context, when there would be signs of heaven and earth catastrophism, this after the great tribulation, the rapture/2nd coming ushering in the millennial kingdom.

8. (verse 35) “For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.”
Contrary to preterist doctrine, this will affect “the whole earth,” not just Jerusalem and the middle east. Jerusalem being the epicenter of endtime events, which will affect the whole earth.

9. (verse 36) “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

Those of the generation that see all these things, that believe and know their Bibles, that see the approaching heaven and earth catastrophism of the day of the Lord coming upon the whole earth, are commanded to watch, that they escape “these things…and to stand before the Son of man.” What “escape” is this, but the rapture part of the singular undivided event just described?
