Fear Of Bible Prophecy May Be A ‘Natural Response,’ But It’s Not Biblical

The world is entering a time unlike any we have ever seen. No, we are not just entering it, we are neck-deep in it. I have been watching, waiting, analyzing, and digging into prophetic studies for decades.

But not everyone embraces this often weighty topic with joy; in fact, more and more, I get a reaction resembling fear and even panic. The ‘fear factor’ as it relates to prophecy is a very real condition, and I don’t want to make light of it because I don’t take it lightly. Prophetic passages can be very sobering in that human suffering will be ramped up considerably.

But I do want to offer some gentle suggestions to those who struggle with a very real sense of foreboding at the thought that ‘the end is near,’ with its accompanying birth pangs and global tragedies as outlined in the Scriptures.

Over time, I have learned that there are only two responses that stir in the heart of a believer when they hear that time is short, and that the human race is headed for certain “unpleasant” events on our way to redemption and the consummation of all things.

“Anyone who loves Christ with all their heart should be ready to die for Him if it ever came to that.”

——>We’re getting somewhere Phil - 100% agree.

But that doesn’t include being ready to die if forced to break His law? I think I know your often stated position on that. 100% to 0%.

John 14:15If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

That's it, cultist, try to spread some more confusion. You carry stan's message so you spread his dissonance gladly.

It will never occur to your dead soul that Jesus is definitely NOT SAYING if you love Him you will keep the commandments ffiven to Moses. IF that was His message there would be no need for the Cross and the Grace of God in Christ. But THAT TRUTH cannot penetrate the prison satan holds around your dead soul!

The second foolishness exposed in your post is ignoring the TWO COMMANDMENTS Jesus gave for His Body of Born Again Believers, to love the Lord God with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves. The second command is why some of us keep responding to your satan driven lies ... we care that you are diving straight into hell and trying to drag others along with you!

Spread confusion by pushing the LAw of Moses as if that will save you or keep you saved is a satanic lie! YOU are promoting satan's lie and persisting in it every time God's Grace is mentioned. In so doing you are promoting the greatest SIN, the sin of unbelief inthe Grace of God in Christ. But in your lost state you can do no other than promote salvation bby works, working at keeping the law that even Peter explain God chosen people could not keep! I smell sulfur evey time you post, cult boi.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Joh 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Joh 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Joh 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

You have really got some screws loose in your theology. It’s so confused that it’s hard to answer at times.

Do you really believe there was a church at that point in Scripture? Do you not understand why some say the Gospels and the first parts of Acts are really Old Testament Scripture? Who was promised the Holy Spirit in the OT?

Seems that MHG is correct that the truth has no place with your “understanding” of Scripture.

Anyone saved right now is not part of Spiritual Israel, physical Israel then or now, Israel in the flesh, or some kooky version of “the Church is the New Israel,” nor the Remnant, but is a “new creature” in the Body of Christ. If you’re not, you’re damned. Period.

Do you even know where to find the gospel message that saves people today?

You break his law every day if you sin.
You place a higher authority and obligation on the Law.

That’s where we differ.
You guys want to work for Salvation. You can’t. Nobody can. If it were so, Jesus needlessly died on the cross.

Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Grace Thru Faith
Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God

You can’t work for a GIFT.

Acts 15:11
On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

Have a great day!

.......................................

In John 6 Jesus had to perfect opportunity to address the Phil’s of the world who would overanalyze and have about 20 “buts” to add to The Perfect Work He Would Provide. All He said, was this:

John 6:29

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

A Child-like faith. Imagine that!

The second command is why some of us keep responding to your satan driven lies ... we care that you are diving straight into hell and trying to drag others along with you!

Just where do you think those TWO COMMANDMENTS come from? Try the Old Testament. THEY ARE DIRECTLY LINKED TO KEEPING GOD’S LITERAL COMMANDMENTS. They are a SUMMATION OF, and “BRIEFLY COMPREHENDED IN THIS SAYING” etc...

Did God ever give anyone a pass on keeping His commandments/laws? Nope.

Someone would literally have to hate God’s law to not be able to see this clear teaching.

Deuteronomy 6:
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Deut 10:
12And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

Deut 30:
6And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
7And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
8And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

Lev 19:
18Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.
37Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.

Mark 12: (A direct quote from Deut 6)
28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Romans 13:
8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, IT IS BRIEFLY COMPREHENDED IN THIS SAYING, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

No, I keep God’s commandments BECAUSE of His authority, and for what He did for me on the cross. OSAS/OJAJ say God’s law is null and void...doesn’t apply to them. Those who think that will certainly take the Mark of the Beast.

Whose commandments? Whose 7th-day-Sabbath?

How many verses in the bible say...Keep my commandments, my statutes, my laws, my 7th-day-Sabbath, etc... ?

How many verses in the New Testament say we must keep the Sabbath in order to be saved?

There are several referencing other commandments (Love the Lord your God, Love Your Neighbor, etc).

How many reference keeping the Sabbath?

I guess you didn’t read post 68, where what you posted above is directly linked to God’s commandments, statutes, and judgments?

You must keep God’s commandments, the Sabbath being one of them. Unrepentant, willful sin will get your ticket cancelled. Hebrews 10 makes that very clear, even though law breaking OSAS/OJAJ say otherwise.

Here...

Matthew 5:
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Here...

Matthew 7:
21Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’…

Here...

Revelation 12:17
And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea.

Here...

Revelation 21:
27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Here...

Revelation 22:
14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

And, especially here..., if you make it to the time of the Mark of the Beast...

Revelation 14:
7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revisiting the OT:

Eccl 12:
13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Nothing could be more clear.

So basically, you are admitting that even though other commandments are reinforced in the New Testament, the one you find most important is not.

EGW was a false prophet. Please abandon her teachings and become a Christian.

Not as much as you seem to, as I asked for specific instances in the New Testament that say we must keep the Sabbath.

Specific. To that commandment.

Yet you keep ignoring that. Is that a reading problem--or comprehension?

Because he’s your Creator and that’s what he told you to do. He (Christ) was very specific. Sounds like you have a comprehension problem there, too.
