Jareb and Petra Knott, coauthors of the book The Science of Deliverance: How Spiritual Freedom Brings Physical Healing, operate a deliverance ministry to help set people free from demonic influence. Petra explained why she believes so many people today are turning to the occult.
“The fascination with evil in society right now — we have a huge interest in the supernatural and people don’t know where to turn to learn about that,” she said. “So, they’re turning to the wrong side.”
Petra said fear is another factor that leads people toward these practices.
“Witchcraft gives people the illusion of control in their life, and so there’s a huge pull to witchcraft because people feel like they can do the right things and cause their life to be better,” she said. “And then the church … has been reticent to talk about these things, so we’ve left a void, and now we’ve got people who go to the church and ask questions, and they’re not getting answers.”

Nitroglycerin kills you in this life. Demon related problems can last an eternity.
I always hated halloween. I’m more of a Christmas and Easter kind of fella.
The Ouija Board worked for me briefly when I was 13. It was the absolute weirdest thing. The planchette would fly around the board and there was no stopping it. It would provide answers neither of us thought of.
I didn’t turn into a black magic occultist, either.
Saul.
Would you all consider Dungeons & Dragons to be in the category of witchcraft?
A school district in our area is once again offering a Harry Potter Night. They can’t read, write, or do math. . .but they know all about ol’ Harry. We are sliding fast as a nation. Disgusted probably does not even begin to describe what our Heavenly Father thinks of our country.
I have heard way too many stories from very trustworthy sources over the years, to ever touch a Ouija board.
About friggen time. Now I can use my arsenal of silver bullets, wooden stakes, holy water while I read various psalms as I go Buffy and Van Helsing on them.
No, I don’t consider D and D to be witchcraft. I have played it on a very amateur level, and it is a board game where you develop the look of the game and the process of play as you go. There are magical characters who can cast spells to achieve victory in battles against monsters. To win, you and your team of magical characters explore places and do battles and collect points and defeat bad guys. There are some people I am sure, who could get too wrapped up in this, but in a world where electronic games and virtual reality games are so much more compelling than an old-fashioned board game, I wouldn’t worry about that. There is no attempt in the game to gain access to spirits or do actual spells. It’s a game. It’s not an occult tool.
Nah. That’s just dorks. It’s also based on Tolkein mostly and he was a devout Catholic. Not all myths are evil.
Too bad they won’t have a Narnia or Tolkien night.
Ask Tom Brady’s soon to be ex wife.
My brother and I found an Ouija board when we were in grade school. We thought it was some sort of game. We moved the pice over the board and thought “What’s the point of this thing?”
I still don’t know what the thing is supposed to do.
Why are so main “mainstream” churches diluting or even heretically contradicting traditional Christian doctrines?
Most of the major denominations are having schisms because trendy leftism has taken over their national leadership and is systematically forcing out traditionalists and conservatives.
If parents drive their children from the family home at a young age, should they be shocked that their children become feral creatures and embrace anyone who will take them in?
A friend of mine had a different experience. He said the board worked. He was a skeptic and his wife and friends thought it would be a fun thing to try. The planchette(?) moved on its own and spelled out words. They got scared and put it up and never got it out again. He swore he'd never touch one again.

This is not new. I remember Ouija boards sixty years ago, books on reading the tarot cards in 1969, Sun Signs on horoscope readings, books on witchcraft and spells, Anton LaVey and his Satanic Bible from those same times.
Lol, there’s no such thing as witches and demons and such!! Any pictures from a “Drag Queen Reading Hour” will confirm that. There are no “evil things”... except for the white Christian fascists, of course. Sarcasm, obviously.
Oh, yes, King Saul’s life was cut short. Not Samuel was already dead when Saul consulted the medium.
Occultism is increasing because more and more a rebellious and unholy generation will “believe a lie.” Read the book of Revelation and heed the warnings of Almighty God.
