NEW ORLEANS — A unanimous ruling by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans blocking the Biden administration’s transgender mandate “is a major victory for conscience rights and compassionate medical care in America,” said the attorney who represented the plaintiffs in the case.
“Doctors cannot do their jobs and comply with the Hippocratic oath if the government requires them to perform harmful, irreversible procedures against their conscience and medical expertise,” said Joseph Davis, counsel at Becket, a Washington-based religious liberty law firm.
Davis made the remarks about the court’s Aug. 26 ruling permanently blocking a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services mandate that would have forced doctors and hospitals to perform gender-transition procedures on their patients even if this violated their conscience and medical judgment.
On Aug. 4, the 5th Circuit heard oral arguments in the case, Franciscan Alliance v. Becerra, which was brought by a Catholic health care network and a group of nearly 19,000 health care professionals.
“Franciscan Alliance and the Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration seek to carry on Jesus Christ’s healing ministry by providing the best possible care to every person who comes through our doors,” said Sister Petra Nielsen, a Sister of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration, who is a member of the Franciscan Alliance’s corporate board.
“We are simply asking the courts to let us keep caring for all our patients with joy and compassion — as we’ve done for over 145 years,” she said in a statement released by Becket ahead of the oral arguments.

There is much evidence that shows that the vast majority of children with gender dysphoria grow out of it within a relatively short time and go on to live completely normal lives. Encouraging a gender confused child to make irreversible life decisions when they are vulnerable and then doing it behind their parents’ backs out to be criminal. And then forcing a doctor to help them against their religious convictions and better judgement is flat out wrong. The 5th Circuit did good.

My children have a friend thats becoming trans and her parents are allowing her to take hormone blockers at 12. The mother divorced the father after it was found out he molested his daughter. The child has psychological problems but they are changing her sex instead of getting her help. And I doubt she could get help with the way therapists are today. They rubber stamp anything trans affirming.
This is clearly ‘abuse of children’ through twisted thinking parents who would even consider this body mutilation on their children. .....It’s also clearly a tactic of the enemy of mens souls to destroy childrens minds and the relationships they will forge throughout life.....”Seeking whom he may devour” says it best.
This will certainly be an opportunity to teach your children and perhaps in doing so they might influence their friend? Kids do have a profound influence on one another.
I don’t see many “transgenders” live very long, fruitful lives. Either they ultimately abandon the illusion as unsustainable, or, if they’ve been irrevocably maimed by the insane procedures, they die early, usually by their own hands or by a risky life with the hazards that imposes. A very high proportion of tranny men are prostitutes.
Her daught3er was obviously traumatized by her father’s sexual abuse and thinks that if she were a boy, this sort of thing would never happen.
