I understand that. After a conversion it is necessary.

“Mama, I’ve killed a man.
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead.
Mama, I’d just begun
And now I’ve gone
And thrown it all away!”

James Eric Crisp, 37, who is a father-of-two, suddenly had a flash of conscience

No. It wasn't a flash of conscience. People get those all the time, and because they flash, they are ignored.

It was a tidal-wave of repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ, which can't be ignored, and will carry you out to sea.

When The Passion of the Christ was released, it led to many confessions of crime by people who were so moved by the film.

With NO evidence, it may be hard to convict him. Admission may not be enough. Will be interesting to watch.

Thank God that He provided us with the opportunity to repent.

The comments at the link are very cynical.

This guy did the right thing at great risk to himself. A sign of true repentance and conversion.

May God bring resolution to this situation.

Monroe County, Mississippi
There’s a dateline you do not see very often.
Last newsworthy thing there was probably in September 1942 when I was born in the very interesting Darracott Community.

“he walked into his local sheriff’s office to admit to killing.” Proof that natural law is real. If a person does a vicious act, then he will naturally feel rotten and guilty, and will naturally wish to address the guilt. True for everyone.
