"Among Lutheran respondents, the opinion picture is even clearer: 67% do not support the position of the pope and the church on the protection of life," the Tagespost reported on Aug. 8.

You don’t get to vote. If you don’t like the rules go find a “church” that lets you do what you want.

Hitler didn’t like it either when theCatholic Church, and brave Lutherans like Niemoller and Bonhoffer, spoke out against abortion.

“ They aren’t a poll driven organization”

Yes The Catholic Church is not a democracy, much to the disagreement of most of my fellow Catholics

What percentage of the Israelites thought that Aaron’s golden calf was a good idea? Probably more than 58%.

Good thing churches are full of sinners. At least they might repent.

Germans - supposedly ‘smart’ yet arrogantly morally dumb. Generally speaking of course. Wirklich nicht sehr gut to approve of abortion as ‘moral’.

If one chooses to dissent from the Church’s teaching on life, that person automatically excommunicates himself from the life of the Church.
It isn’t difficult to understand. The value of human life is the number one belief of the Church with respect to humanity.
The people who claim they can be pro-abortion and still be Catholic are like the rocket scientist who believes the earth is flat yet wants to work on the Mars mission.

It’s the Church’s fault for not teaching the faith.

"Among Lutheran respondents, the opinion picture is even clearer: 67% do not support the position of the pope and the church on the protection of life,"

These German Catholics have an option that might be more amenable to them.
