It sure appears to be the 'word of faith' diversion.
I am 76. I have in and on my body the scars and ongoing difficulties of life. I have a purified spirit by the Promise and Grace of God. But I also have the effects of disease at an early age and the effects of sin I have endulged in my life. This current Earth and current body are not my home. And God used the plagues on Egypt to convince the Hebrews that Egypt was not a good place to live ... He left Egypt to the state of degeneration their sins had achieved, He didn't heal Egypt so the Hebrews would feel at home there, He ghave them incentive to get the heck out of there.

When I was sick in the hospital with MRSA, I had Christians tell me I was already healed. Even though I was still sick and symptomatic, no, I was healed. Nonsense.
The problem with that is the denial of reality.
When Jesus healed people, they left changed. The blind could see, the lame could walk, the deaf could hear, etc. Not in one case did the person continue in their illness or condition.
So to tell the person they are already healed when they are not yet and that all they have to do is appropriate it, although nobody ever tells you how to do that, is very destructive to one’s spiritual walk and just an outright lie.

I am so sorry you were treated that way, Metmom. You are a faithful child of God and loved dearly by Him. He knows your suffering. We can’t see it now, but one day we will know it was all worth it for God’s great plan and served a greater purpose. You are a strong example to so many others, Metmom.
Stay strong, and know that I and so many others have you always in our prayers.

Thanks bro. I’m sure you know I was not at all bad mouthing the points made by Frank. I was focused like a laser on one issue, and one issue only. That everyone will experience physical healing of everything that is physically wrong with them. You explained it far more eloquently than I could. 🤗 I was referring to your standard WOF people, Joel Osteen, Kenneth Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, Sid Roth and others. I am not buying what they are selling.
I even question their “faith.” I saw one essentially say our faith is in God, and some lady, with a lot of hair, said she didn’t know what that meant. Are you kidding me? First graders know this. That doesn’t speak well for them.

By the way SC, I had a bit of a humorous experience. Around 2011, I had an annual physical. The doctor was an Air Force Colonel. He said I had a thyroid problem which needed surgery. He sent me to see another doctor, an Air Force Major. While I was consulting with him, he told me not to worry, that Jesus would heal me. I smiled, and said Jesus would indeed heal me, but He will use the hands of a skilled surgeon, like you, to do it. 😀 We prayed together, and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in the recovery room. 👍

Saw a video the other day with a guy stating you just don’t have enough faith to believe you can be healed if you remain sick. The guy saying it was wearing glasses.
So....Hmm...?

Good points metmom!
I would add to that Paul’s “thorn” that would not be removed despite all he did.
Was it depression?
Was it a physical ailment?
Was it sin?
If Paul suffered that much and he was pretty much king of New Testament Saints, I will rue the Bema Seat. Wow!

I found Frank’s post to be beneficial to be honest.
We don’t have to agree 100% on everything. He wrapped it up very nicely with Romans 10:9-10.

I pointed that out to my WoF acquaintance who didn’t like the Exodus 4 observation.
He didn’t deal well with that, either.

HMMMmmm...
Exodus 4:11
The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths?
Who makes them deaf or mute?
Who gives them sight or makes them blind?
Is it not I, the Lord?

A certain brass serpent comes to mind. That of Asclepius or Nehushtan?
Isaiah's prophecies were written not only to the Hebrews but to several other Mideast nations . . .
Peter wrote of them about 25 yeas before John's Gospel was circulated.
