There he goes again, reacting to rumors that he may be retiring soon. Just two weeks ago he said he was not.
There is an exclusive gated community, owned by The Walt Disney Company that leases very costly residences to certain private people. The place is called Golden Oak, named after the company’s California ranch.
Maybe that’s where the Holy See belongs, once he has surrendered his vestments and skull caps. He can live at Disneyland, with all the other costumed characters.

Pope Francis may as well resign. I don’t sense he has any enthusiasm for the job. He seems more interested in worldly politics.

After Benedict XVI was forced out, I’ve assumed that the papacy is meaningless in any spiritual sense. It’s just politics now - if it isn’t more akin to a ‘mob’.
