Federal television should produce more programs that "foster a taste for beauty," now it is "full of vulgar and talentless" programs that promote the occult, which, according to the Russian Orthodox Church, affects children, said Fr. Fedor Lukyanov, chairman of the Patriarchal Commission for Family, Maternity and Childhood Protection, to RIA Novosti.

He reminded that mass media is not only capable of "being a mirror of public processes, but it also forms norms of behavior and perception of reality," and stressed that this is especially true for young people.

In the 80s I was in Sweden, and the tv hours were quite limited

But they showed uncensored Bo Derek movies

Well, Bo Derek is not overtly occult, but bouncing on the beach would be rather distracting and problematic to some. (A temptation to some deadly sins or other!)
