Photos from the beginning of Velikoretsky cross procession, which will be held in the region from June 3 to 8, have appeared.
On Friday, June 3, Velikoretsky procession started in Kirov - the most ancient, crowded and majestic of all the processions in Vyatka. From Kirov to the village Velikoretskoe went 23 thousand pilgrims. Such data is provided by the regional government. Processionists are accompanied by police officers, ambulance staff, EMERCOM, as well as volunteers. Aleksandr Sokolov, the Acting Governor of Kirov region, also went on the procession.
People from different parts of Russia, countries of near and far abroad started their way from the Holy Dormition Trifonov Monastery in Kirov, then - from Lenin Street and Lenin Avenue. Kirov, then - down Lenin Street and the old bridge, then - to the Trinity Church in Makarie. Total from 3 to 8 June the pilgrims will have to go 150 km way - from Kirov to the village Velikoretskoe to the bank of the river Velikaya and back.

2020 This new Cathedral is one of the tallest Cathedrals of the orthodox church. Built just outside Moscow, this Cathedral is a sort of a shrine for Russian Armed Forces. The great Cathedral complex is designed in monumental Russian Revival style. It will be located in the Patriot Park to symbolize spirituality of the Russian Armed Forces that unsheathe the sword only to defend its Fatherland.
Our Lady of Fatima. I think we should return the favor. The Russian people have suffered much in this century. They had Godless communism forced on them. They were attacked by the Nazis and suffered in the gulags. Yes, we should all pray for Russia. We are not enemies.
