Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Titus 1

I1 Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness— 2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, 3 and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,

4 To Titus, my true son in our common faith:

Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

Almighty Father,
Blessed Be Your Holy Name Forever!
Blessed Are You,
Oh LORD, Our God,
King Of The Universe,
Who Has given us this Day,
This Moment,
and Has Brought us Together for Your Purpose.
We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise into the House of The LORD,
For You Alone Are Worthy, You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God Of Abraham!
If the people will not sing Your Praises,
the very rocks of the earth would break forth in song to Praise You,
Oh Father,
Creator,
LORD of All!

Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Titus 1

Paul's Letter to Titus begins like all his other letters, with a prayer. Not much is known about Titus, even though he is mentioned in the Book of Acts and has his very own Book in the New Testament. He was a companion of Paul and Timothy, and it is speculated that he carried messages back and forth when Paul was in prison and participated in fundraising to help the poor.

Paul must have thought very highly of him, as he addresses his letter: "To Titus, my true son in our common faith"

As always, the Letter to Titus opens with the Prayer:

Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Titus is one of the unsung heroes of the Bible. He doesn’t even get his own Feast Day, but shares it (January 26) with Paul and Timothy. (It’s also my sister’s birthday!)
