About 2600 years ago, the Hebrew prophet named Ezekiel issued a biblical prophecy that is going to find fulfillment in the "latter days." The prophet writes:
"You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes." (Ezekiel 38:16)
The "you" in this verse is commonly taught to represent whoever the president of Russia is going to be in the biblical "latter days." Many prophecy experts sincerely believe that these are the "latter days" spoken about by Ezekiel. Some even posit the possibility that Vladimir Putin could be the Russian leader of this prophecy. Wisely, these advocates caveat that this depends on the longevity of Putin tenure in relationship to the timing of the fulfillment of Ezekiel's prophecy.
This thinking is possibly supported by another detail of the prophecy written in the passage below.
"'Thus says the Lord God: "On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your (Russian President's) mind, and you will make an evil plan." (Ezekiel 38:10; emphasis added)
In light of Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, thoughts of "an evil plan" by a Russian President in the biblical latter days has happened. Although the evil plan of this above verse relates to Israel, and not Ukraine, it could provide hints of a similar sinister attack, probably in the near future, that gets plotted against the Jewish state.

I will first say my usual caveat that no man knows the day or hour nor should we be concerned about it. It is as beyond our control as the path of the sun and the stars.
With that being said, as someone who has an interest in current events viewed through the prism of the good book I thought the recent Russian announcement about the Golan Heights and Israel was far more consequential and it represented a major reversal of recent diplomacy between the two nations.
I wonder if some of this has to do with the massive new production of natural gas by Israel but I digress........
Some take the position that ‘Israel’ had ceased to be a nation when the Northern Kingdom had been taken away in captivity by the Assyrians some 100 years before Ezekiel wrote this. The Southern Kingdom was Judah-Benjamin, which the Babylonians had conquered.
The people of Ukraine could be the descendants of those ancient Israelites....................

The Russians can barely conquer a couple of cities in a next door neighbor of theirs...and they’re going to take on Israel’s armed forces some 2,000 miles away? Not anytime soon, that’s for sure.
Everyone thinks that we’re in the End Times. Maybe we are, maybe we aren’t. But don’t waste your time on it - if you’re going to be a good person, get on that right away regardless of whether the End Times are upon us or not. As the Talmud says, “If you are planting a tree and someone tells you that the Messiah has come, finish planting the tree before you go to see him.”
Natural gas in Israel could possibly be the key. The hooks in the jaw, so to speak. As Israel becomes Russia’s major energy competition.
One needs to remember where the Jewish people were at the time this prophecy was written: They were in Babylonian captivity. And there are certain things that one cannot say while in Babylonian captivity without being exposed to the danger of having one’s head removed from one’s body. For example, in Ezekiel 39:12, the destruction of the people of Gog of Magog will be so great that it will take seven months just to find and bury all of their dead.
“On that day I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel....for there Gog and all his multitude will be buried....For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them, in order to cleanse the land.”
(Ezekiel 39:11-12)
That’s something that you don’t say out loud in Babylonian captivity if you are talking about the Babylonians. In another spot it says that the Jewish people would not have to worry about gathering wood from the forest for years, because the defeat of their enemy would be so complete that they would be gathering their enemies weapons and burning them for seven years.
“Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go forth and make fires of the weapons and burn them, shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, handpikes and spears, and they will make fires of them for seven years; so that they will not need to take wood out of the field or cut down any out of the forests, for they will make their fires of the weapons; they will despoil those who despoiled them, and plunder those who plundered them, says the Lord GOD.”

That isn’t something that you say out loud in Babylonian captivity if you are talking about the Babylonians. But the Jewish people had ways of saying things that they could understand and yet hide it from others. They had different codes or linguistic secrets that they sometimes used, when saying something plainly clearly would not do.
One secretive code that was used by the Jewish people is known as an “atbash”. In an atbash, the first letter of the alphabet is substituted for the last letter of the alphabet, the second letter for the next to last letter, and so on. (e.g., in English ABC would be written ZYX) The word “atbash” is derived form the letters in the word. It consists of the Hebrew letters aleph, taw, bet, and shin. Aleph and taw are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Bet and shin are the second and next to last letters of the Hebrew alphabet. At least three times in the book of Jeremiah, a contemporary of Ezekiel, an atbash is used for either Babylon or Chaldea (Jeremiah 25:6; 51:1,41).
In another type of literary code, perhaps a variation of the atbash, a letter would be substituted for the letter either following it or preceding it in the alphabet (e.g., JIM might be IHL or KJN). Or the order of the letters in a word might be reversed, reading them from last to first rather than from first to last (e.g., JIM might be MIJ).
We know from its use in the book of Jeremiah, a contemporary of Ezekiel, that the Jews of this time were familiar with using an atbash.
In ancient Hebrew, there were no true vowels in the written alphabet. Vowel pointing, to help with the vowel sounds, was not added until several hundred years after the time of Christ. Therefore “Magog” was simply written as MGG. If one substitutes the letter coming after these in the Hebrew alphabet, MGG becomes NDD. (“G”— “gimel” —is the third letter in the Hebrew alphabet, in the same spot that out letter “C” would be in the English alphabet.) If one takes the preceding letter, this becomes LBB. Reverse the order of LBB and you have BBL, which is the Hebrew word for “Babel”, another name for Babylon.
The prophecy’s connection with Babylon can also be seen in the closing verses of the prophecy. The context of these chapters is shown to be the Babylonian Captivity. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t a modern layer to the prophecy. The Hebrew prophets often had two layers to their prophecies—one for their day and time, and one for the future. Gog and Magog are also mentioned in the book of Revelation, as is Babylon, which might also indicate this aspect of the prophecy.
With regard to the person known as “Gog”, we don’t know with certainty who Gog of Magog is. But in all likelihood neither did the Babylonians. And that itself may be part of the answer.
There is a tendency for each generation to think that the prophecies of Ezekiel or Revelation refer to events in the next few years of their own lives. However, in the kind of apocalyptic imagery used in these chapters in Ezekiel, and in the book of Revelation, it would appear that Gog of Magog in its immediate context in Ezekiel stands for Babylon, but that in its broader context it is symbolic of any evil that would oppose God’s people. Ultimately God’s enemies will be defeated, and God’s people will be victorious.

...using words like "sincerely" will endear folks to their expert theories, which isn't very sincere.
Many prophecy experts will ru the day that they thought the "PNW store" was a good idea.
The truth is about to come out of left field all right, but they won't know why because they never knew why.

The day no one knows the day or the hour is on Tisheri 1 or 2. That is the Feast of Trumpets which happens on 2 days. It is the only Feast day of the Lord that begins on the New Moon. It starts when the priests saw the New Moon emerge for the first month of the year. If you ask a Jew when the day no one knows is, they will all tell you it is Trumpets. The Trumpet is blown from the time the New Moon is sighted for 100 blasts. The Last Blast is termed the "The Last Trump" and is the only time the "Last Trump" is blown. Pentecost has the "First Trump" and Atonement has the "Great Trump".
So when Scripture tells you you will be changed in a moment at the Last Trump, this day is what is refereed to. The Rapture of the church will happen on some future Feast of Trumpets.
Scripture makes several references to "Watch" because He will come as a thief in the night. The time to Watch is the whole month of Elul, when the "King is in the Field". Elul is when one makes "Teshuvah" for 30 days before Trumpets. You should repent, pray, and fast the whole month.
God doesn't do anything without telling His prophets first. God has made it known for thousands of years what He plans on doing. You just have to ask Jew to find out.
Scripture tells Gentiles they must be adopted, or "grafted" in to be saved. Gen. 48 tells of the adoption of Joseph's Gentile sons born of an Egyptian wife into Jacob's family ( who was renamed Israel by YHWH ) The inheritance was promised to Jacob and in order to get a share of the Promised Land, Ephraim and Manasseh were adopted by the use of "crossed hands" by Jacob. A careful reading of the whole Scripture will show all Scripture, Promises, covenants, and oracles of God, are given to Israel. There is not one covenant with a Gentile that hasn't been adopted into God's family. A High Priest cannot marry a non virgin and they must be from his home country. Abraham sent his servant (Holy Spirit) back to his home country and family to choose a Bride for Issac. The Servant brought Issac's Bride back to Issac and they met in a field.
The answers Christians are searching for are found in "Spiritual Israel", not from the Whore of Babylon church. If your church is a "break off", or daughter of Babylon, you will have more "mysteries" than answers. Russia is involved in the Eze 38-39 war, but they will be coming after Israel along with many Muslim countries.
