SWAN SONG: The Heavens Declare the Glory of God
Psalm 19:1-4(3)
1. To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David:
2. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork:
3. Day to day utters speech, and night to night expresses knowledge:
4. There is no speech nor are there any words; their voice is not heard:
The swan song is a metaphorical phrase for a final gesture, effort, or performance given just before death or retirement.
>>>
In Greek mythology, the swan was a bird consecrated to Apollo, and it was therefore considered a symbol of harmony and beauty and its limited capabilities as a singer were sublimated to those of songbirds.
Aesop's fable of "The Swan and the Goose" incorporates the swan song legend as saving its life when it was caught by mistake instead of the goose but was recognized by its song.

The Swan (Cygnus) and the Harp (Lyra):

"The heavens declare the glory of God" [השמים מספרים כבוד־אל] = 888 [Ἰησοῦς]
[מספרים] = "numbers"
The swan song is a metaphorical phrase for...
John 19:30 When Jesus [Ἰησοῦς] therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Northern Cross:
Like the Summer Triangle, the Northern Cross is an indicator of the seasons. Near midnight, the Cross lies virtually overhead at mid-northern latitudes during the summer months; it can also be seen during spring in the early morning to the East. In the autumn the cross is visible in the evening to the West until November. It never dips below the horizon at or above 45° north latitude...

The Veil Nebula is a cloud of heated and ionized gas and dust in the constellation Cygnus.[4]
It constitutes the visible portions of the Cygnus Loop,[5] a supernova remnant, many portions of which have acquired their own individual names and catalogue identifiers.
I can’t wait for the Webb telescope to reveal more of God’s glory.
Thank you for that interesting and illuminating post!

From your link:
We are told two things. One is that the Lord stretched the north over an empty place and the second is that He hung the earth upon nothing.
As it includes much commentary re the concept of north...

Pickering's Triangle:

The letter Tzaddi(k), final form (significance):
ץ
Meaning: 1. Righteous 2. Hunt
The Zohar recounts that when G-d wanted to create the world, every letter of the alef-beis came before Him and said, G-d, create the world with me. The tav came first, and then the shin, and so on. Then the tzaddik appeared before G-d and said, G-d, create the world with me. I am the tzaddik, the righteous one. So G-d responded, Yes, but because you are righteous you must be hidden. Therefore, I cannot create the world with you.

hunt: צד (tzad):
tzaddi: as an abbreviation, it (צ) stands for tzafon, North.
dalet: as an abbreviation, it (ד) stands for darom, South.

The letter tzaddi = 90
On the polar coordinate system, north is 90 degrees.
The word for north, "tzafon", means hidden.

The article also delves into the word "chug" [חוג], which is related to chag [חג], a feast, festival.
In word-play world, consider the concept of a hug, because it involves reaching around, encircling. Here's a recent post about a hug and the Book of Life:
The link you posted also mentions the world turtle. The related theme in the original post is that of Apollo's harp/lyre, which Hermes made from a tortoise shell.
Here's some fun imagery posted when it launched.
Luke 24
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures...
Which is all rather interesting considering the overall shape:

It's the very concept of seeing far...
I obtained this image of the Veil while testing different light filters. The nebula is the remains of a massive star that exploded about 8,000 years ago. The entire nebula is about 110 light-years across and resides about 2,100 light-years away from earth in the constellation Cygnus, the Swan

When I saw "swan song", I feared this might be your departing opus. May it never be!
Oh my, how many people did I inadvertently excite and then disappoint with that title?
Heh, well looks like it's a paradoxical "rain delay" for the time of gift-giving.
Very nice, thank you for posting your “work”.
In quotes of course, because it’s not any work at all if it is love.
I love how everyone has his particular skills and purpose.
It really can all be for good. Look how much everyone could learn and know from all the good out there!
Can I ask what telescope, or lens you used?
The only time I’ve seen it was with my 6” f/15 maksutov years ago, under darker skies than we have here now.
I tried with my 115mm APO, but at f/7, the sky was too bright. I tried bumping up the magnification, but there went my field of view….
Schmidt Cassegrain 10” primary, with a 6.3 focal reducer in the optical train along with LP filters. This was shot in LA County, where as you can imagine, with extreme light pollution.
Thanks! Not bad at all!
I’m a refractor guy. I would love to get some good planetary photos, but the only working camera is my iPhone. I’ve got an attachment from Celestron that will hold my phone and attach to an eyepiece, and it will allow adjustments in all 3 axes. Can’t wait to try it on my Stellarview 115.
A belated thanks for posting this. Wonderful information, and illustrations as well.
When i look at pictures of the heavens, i am in awe. Creations of God are overwhelming. I and my little life are just a speck— if that.
When you get a shot, post it. I’d like to see what it can do!
Gotcha!

Funny thing about the semis... the common number out there for the max weight is 80,000.
It's a sum that sure gets around.

Freelance writers... a dollar a word? While theTorah contains 304,805 letters, there are different sums for the number of words. Even the first letter of Deu 32:6 may be considered as its own word; e.g. here, "Why is the HEY enlarged in Deut. 32:6?"*
The general rounded number of words in the Torah is 80,000.

PETER [פתר] bilt... people argue about this stuff all the time, but whatever happened to interpretations belonging to God.
