"It's one thing to read the Scriptures and know the prophecies that have already taken place," wrote one online commenter, reacting to noted Christian evangelist Ray Comfort's latest viral video on the possible near-term manifestation of the biblical "mark of the beast."
"But to see them unfold before your eyes gives me chills up my spine. Kind of an excitement as well because I know the end results and who wins."
That famous prophecy in the last book of the Bible predicts that ultimately, everyone on earth will be required to receive a "mark" on the back of their right hand or their forehead in order to buy or sell.
It's one of the Bible's pronouncements that has caused uncountable hours of discussion and angst among theologians and Christians in general.

This whole thing with the COVID passports and must have the shot to engage in trade, etc., really has me looking up and listening for the trumpet. This seems tailor made for the kind of one world government the Bible predicts.

People seem to envision cultures several millennia ago as if they were a bunch of bafoons only dealing with caveman issues, but the kind of oppression that the mark symbolizes was not unrealistic to them, except perhaps for what kind of ‘technology’ (or supernatural aspects?) it would manifest as. The romans were forcing people who lived and were taxed by them to submit to population censuses. Controlling how money is spent for the benefit of the powerful is not a new phenomenon. It’s probably not just as old as ‘money’ itself, it’s the reason for it’s existence.

The Bible is chalk full of symbolism. Approaching it from that aspect allows much to be understood.

The mark of the beast will have a religious aspect to it.
Those who take it will be required to (1) deny Christ, and (2) make some type of statement/oath that the anti-christ is a deity.
Covid passports have neither of those.

The message of Revelation (13) and 14, on the MOTB, is crystal clear:
Worship God as your Creator
Don’t worship the beast
Keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus
It is about God’s 10 commandment Moral law. And, it shows us specifically which one will be the MOTB test for us who are still alive at the end.
v7….and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters….Jesus Christ is our Creator and is therefore worthy of our worship.
That verse 7 language is nearly verbatim from the 4th commandment (the 7th day Sabbath). It’s also mentioned in other Revelation verses.
Revelation 5:

Notice 4 very important words in Ecc 12:13-14…”Fear God, Judgment, Commandments. Same in Rev 14:7,12…”Fear God, Judgment, Commandments”
The seal of God is located in the 4th commandment of God’s moral 10 commandment law. Legislative Sunday-keeping is the Mark of the Beast. It all comes down to obedience and to whose AUTHORITY one serves/obeys. Every Protestant Reformer knew who the antichrist/beast power was (and still is).
Letter from C.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons on October 28, 1895: “Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act…And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.”
“Sunday is our mark of authority.…The church is above the Bible, and this transference of sabbath observance is proof of that fact.” The Catholic Record, London, Ontario, September 1, 1923.
Catholic Record (September 1, 1923): “Now in the matter of Sabbath observance the Protestant rule of Faith is utterly unable to explain the substitution of the Christian Sunday for the Jewish Saturday. It has been changed. The Bible still teaches that the Sabbath or Saturday should be kept holy. There is no authority in the New Testament for the substitution of Sunday for Saturday. Surely it is an important matter. It stands there in the Bible as one of the Ten Commandments of God. There is no authority in the Bible for abrogating this Commandment, or for transferring its observance to another day of the week.” “For Catholics it is not the slightest difficulty.”…“The Church is above the Bible; and this transference of Sabbath observance from Saturday to Sunday is proof positive of that fact. Deny the authority of the Church and you have no adequate or reasonable explanation or justification for the substitution of Sunday for Saturday in the Third - Protestant Fourth - Commandment of God.”
It’s no secret. They admit that it is their MARK OF AUTHORITY.

Yes, I know it’s not a popular theory on the MOTB, but it’s the truth, and it’s coming sooner than most people think.
