You have the ability to find a different lcms church and meet the pastor. Church is also about relationships with others in the body. I met our district president last week and thought he’d make a perfect pastor for our church if he wasn’t already where he was.
In short dont automatically blame the denomination for what may be more of a local thing. Figure out what is what, first.
Thank you. Yes. I was born, raised, and currently serve as an assistant pastor in the LCMS. As long as the LCMS holds forth the Scriptures and the Book of Concord as norms, the LCMS serves as a guiding light in a fallen world. Since Judas was counted among the twelve apostles, it stands to reason the Church will have enemies embedded in its manifestations. The primary expression of the Christian Church in this life is the local parish and its pastir(s). The lebel is by no means always accurate.
