Thank you. Yes. I was born, raised, and currently serve as an assistant pastor in the LCMS. As long as the LCMS holds forth the Scriptures and the Book of Concord as norms, the LCMS serves as a guiding light in a fallen world. Since Judas was counted among the twelve apostles, it stands to reason the Church will have enemies embedded in its manifestations. The primary expression of the Christian Church in this life is the local parish and its pastir(s). The lebel is by no means always accurate.
I don’t understand why it has to be The Scriptures AND the Book of Concord, or any other book besides the Bible. Not knocking your church; I know that every church has doctrinal beliefs, but I think that God’s Word, alone, should be followed. (The assumption cannot be made that every denomination’s doctrine is Scripturally sound).
