(Vanity, sort of). Any good and pure church denomination/organizations out there?

Just a query to those more knowledgeable and savvy, about church denominations.

Actually, I mean ANY division of organized Christian religion.

I am frustrated by so many churches now, with all the nonsense of the last 2 years. Paying homage to BLM and homos and bowing down to every COVID decree.

Everyone says what was our church, Lutheran Church - MO Synod (LCMS), is good for being true. However, after the riots started I saw a bit too much virtue-signaling. The only thing I can say was the website did not seem to specify blacks and BLM, but the statement seemed to be self-concsious again about looking like social justice proponents.

So, I’m thinking of looking for other churches, which might happen to be reasonably close to us.

Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA.org) is good. Very conservative.

amen and amen. So much wisdom is poured out when we read God’s Word, consistently, ourselves. When we pray, we’re talking to God but when we read the Word, He’s talking to us.

I agree with those who said to check out Calvary Chapel - Bible-based, grounded pastors, casual feeling services.

There are some very large churches & that can be overwhelming, but they do have home groups, specific support groups and smaller Bible studies. Most Live Stream as well.

Perhaps can be seen as overly “strict” to some. No women pastors (women can teach or counsel other women), do not turn a blind eye to regular attendees actively sinning (adultery, sexual deviancy, etc. esp. if counseled) and they don’t gloss over the “non-woke/PC” parts of the Bible.

Might take a bit of visiting churches to find an answer. I am not sure that a name on the door will make a difference. True believers in Christ know we are all created in Gods image, we are all sinners in need of salvation and we are all on this world temporarily. Good luck. These issues kept me out of church for 20+ years. I found a new faith family but unfortunately in the last 3 months hysteria has found its way in. I’m amazed and disappointed. My faith is not dampened. I will start a house church before repeating the last 20+ (-4 )years. I expect I am not alone.

Good luck.

“amen and amen. So much wisdom is poured out when we read God’s Word, consistently, ourselves. When we pray, we’re talking to God but when we read the Word, He’s talking to us.”

Yes! When we read God’s word He is giving us the knowledge to know HIStory, His Wisdom, His commandments, His plan. He may not in every instance be talking directly to us, but it is for us to read to know He is the one true God and that He sent Christ to preach, die, and resurrect from the dead for our salvation.

Praise be to God!

Any religion that claims that the Holy Bible shares the same importance as a book that that religion is based on is outside of Scriptural truth. The Book of Mormon is neither a continuation nor a correction of the Old and New Testaments, no matter what Joseph Smith and Brigham Young claimed.

The book ‘Megashift’ got a lot of traction a number of years ago, and it addressed some of what you’re searching for.

I had hoped that the new Methodist division would result in an Orthodox christianity. Alas. It is not to be. The organizing board is comprised entirely of seminary professors who rue the ordination of homosexuals as the single and only issue separating them from the UMC.
There is no sense in which this body of stalwarts recognize the influence of Marxist atheism on the UMC, such as has gained complete control of the UUA.
In point of fact the difference between Unitarians and the liberal UMC is lightly shaded.
Global Methodism as manifested in Africa and South America will not be satisfied with the direction this US breakaway is headed.

Yup, the Christian and Missionary Alliance is very solid and Jesus focused, more than many churches I’ve been to.

Plus they have a huge missions focus, getting the message out to the world.

Mormons are fine until you examine their theology. Then it becomes so bizarre it is unrecognizable as a Christian religion.

Plymouth Brethren Whew! Fundamentalism with a capital F. No Holy Spirit, just the literal Word beaten into heads with a morality that puts rigid to shame.

"Found a Catholic Church that has a conservative pastor and he’s become a friend." There are some good churches, however Catholicism simply is disqualified since more than most others, distinctive Catholic teachings are not manifest in the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed (which is Scripture, in particular Acts through Revelation, which best shows how the NT church understood the gospels).

The most pure and true Christianity is Orthodox Christianity. Unfortunately, the Church is split also regarding vaccine, masks, etc. Even priests disobeying bishops, bishops disobeying patriarchs, etc.

My priest never wavered from the Truth. We never had masks, we never talked about vaccines, we never changed any practices to accommodate for a clearly fake disease. The Church itself is pro marriage and pro life, and generally anti political, but a lot of specifics comes down to the timber of the individual parish. I have always found better success in Slavic oriented churches, versus Greek or American.

The Faith itself is pure, and if you can find a parish that is solely focused on the Faith, and not politics, then you have found Heaven.

I go to a Wesleyan church. It’s extremely conservative. We love it there. ProLife. Masks & vaccines are not encouraged or required.
