Galatians 6

Not Circumcision but the New Creation

11 See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

12 Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13 Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which[a] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation. 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to[b] the Israel of God.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

I can still remember the color and pattern of the wallpaper I was hanging in the back bedroom that morning. It was glossy vinyl, wedgewood blue, and dotted with tiny flowers. It was a "Laura Ashley" pattern, very popular at the time, but would be considered quite dated today. Up and down the ladder I climbed, wanting to finish the job in the morning, because Mom and Dad's Wedding Anniversay was on the same day and I wanted to celebrate it with them. Over in the corner, the smaller of our two TV's was broadcasting the latest launch from Cape Canaveral, something I faithfully watched since Alan Shepherd was the first American in Space. I was not really watching, but was absorbed in my task, when I heard a flat, deadpan voice say,

"We Have A Malfunction."

From that moment onward, every channel on the TV replayed the explosion again, and again, and again. The entire event became permanently embedded in my memory, from the sound deadpan voice, to the visual of the explosion, to even the color and pattern on the wallpaper.

The media did this same thing in the aftermath of the Terrorist Attacks on 9/11/01. Over and over, we watched the Towers fall, until the images became branded into our memories. Now, however, due to Political Correctness, the "powers-that-be" would like us to forget those images. But I will never forget.

As we go through Paul's letters, we see a recurring prayer: "Grace and Peace to you in the name of Jesus". It is in his salutation and in his signature. Whatever other issues he means to address, he always wants us never to forget Who is our Savior, Redeemer, and Lord.

And so, Grace and Peace to You, in the name of Jesus!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

I am in the path of a Blizzard that may cause me to lose power. If there is no thread tomorrow morning, that would be the reason why.

Of course, whenever power is restored, i will pick up where i left off.

Please say a prayer for me, because i have no alternate source of heat for my mobile home. Even with a full tank of oil, no power means no furnace.
