Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

2 Corinthians 1
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To the church of God in Corinth, together with all his holy people throughout Achaia:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise to the God of All Comfort
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.
8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters,[a] about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father
Who Art in Heaven,
How Blessed and Wonderful is Your Most Holy Name!
We Enter Your Gates With thanksgiving
and Your Courts With Praise,
For You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are God,
You Alone Are The Most High!
Ancient of Days and Rock of All Ages,
The Lord of Hosts,
LORD, Our Banner,
Our Righteousness,
Our Provider and Our Healer,
You are Our Creator
and we are the Sheep of Your Pasture.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

A "Proverbial" Sculptor was unloading his tools and materials from his car when he inadvertanly left out two boxes of supplies. He collected his belongings, put them away, made lunch, and had a nice afternoon in the air-conditioned studio working on his latest project. However, when he reached for the aforementioned supplies, he realized that two boxes had been sitting outside in the hot sun all afternoon.
The first box contained wax that the artist used to make his initial models before sculpting the final piece. He also used the wax to make jewelry, where a precious metal would be poured into a mold, and replace the intricate wax model with shining gold. The wax had gotten a little soft in the sun, but it was OK. In fact, the artist usually had to soften the wax up a bit to make it easier to mold it into something beautiful. Great! It wasn't ruined after all. Now...as for the other box...
The other box contained modeling clay, which is essentially mud from the earth that can be made into ceramics. Unfortunately, clay, when left in the hot sun, becomes adobe, which is a crumbly low-quality brick. The clay that had been soft a few hours before was now useless. The Sculptor threw the adobe brick out into the parking lot, where it broke into pieces and was eventually crushed into dust by the city traffic.
The two substances had been exposed to the same glaring afternoon sun, on the same city sidewalk, for the same number of hours, but the responses of the two substances were different. The wax became supple and malleable, and was able to be turned into something beautiful. The clay, on the other hand, became hard and brittle and not good for anything. And so it is with human suffering. Here is the opening to Paul's 2nd Letter to Corinth:
(2 Corinthians 1)
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To the church of God in Corinth, together with all his holy people throughout Achaia:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Praise to the God of All Comfort)
In the Salutation to his Second letter to the Corinthian Church, Paul launches into Prayer and tackles one of the most puzzling problems that has beset mankind since the Beginning of Time. That is, of course, the Problem of Suffering. Why do decent people have to suffer? Paul suggests that it is not the suffering that builds our character, but our response to it. How we cope with it will determine if we are able to extend God's Grace and Comfort to others in need. Paul certainly went through a lot of suffering. Beaten, stoned and left for dead, shipwrecked, unjustly accused and imprisoned, Paul had his share of suffering. It is the human condition, and we all go through varying degrees of it. Suffering can mold a person into a Refuge of Comfort and Compassion, ministering God's Grace to others who are suffering, or it can harden and embitter a person to the point where they shatter into dust. The question is, not how much we suffer, but, "Are We Wax? Or Are We Clay?"
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Psalm 124
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
1 If it had not been the Lord who was on our side
—let Israel now say—
2 if it had not been the Lord who was on our side,
when our enemies attacked us,
3 then they would have swallowed us up alive,
when their anger was kindled against us;
4 then the flood would have swept us away,
the torrent would have gone over us;
5 then over us would have gone
the raging waters.
6 Blessed be the Lord,
who has not given us
as prey to their teeth.
7 We have escaped like a bird
from the snare of the fowlers;
the snare is broken,
and we have escaped.
8 Our help is in the name of the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM! And for the Preservation of the Valiant Israeli Nation!
 | _ | AUL, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: |
Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

Just a note...At my first Rolling Thunder rally back in the early 90’s this very passage of Scripture was read by Senator Nighthorse Campbell to a crowd of over 300,000 Vietnam Vets and Bikers. I never forgot it!
