I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone: for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ~ 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Holy Lord,
Surely You are good unto them that wait for You, to the souls that seek You. Your mercies are not consumed, because Your compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
Father, during these busy days before the celebration of Your Son’s birth, we ask You to help us take time to be still with You and listen to Your voice; for busyness is the enemy of intimacy with You. Help us Lord, to seek the needed things----the necessary time with You and Your Word that will keep our hearts in harmony with Yours.
Gracious Lord, as we think about the Precious Christ Child, we ask You to please forgive our nation of the terrible sin of legalized abortion. We know that You hate the hands that shed innocent blood. We command the enemy’s stronghold upon our legal system to be broken. We pray that You would allow the powers behind the abortion industry to be powerless, and we ask that the covenant of death our country has made would be broken. May the Roe v. Wade decision of 1973 be cast into the fire and burned. Please deliver us from this evil, Lord, and forgive us all for allowing 60 million of Your precious children to be destroyed.
Lord we pray for Your people to make haste to help the families from Mayfield, Kentucky whose entire town was destroyed Friday night during a tornado. Comfort and defend all who mourn their loved ones and who need the assistance of others to make it through this disaster. Please send Your people to assist them and bring them words of hope.
Lord, the times in which we live cause us great concern. We are seeing more and more instances where evil is called good and good, evil. We realize that placing our hope in man or vaccines or in government is fruitless. Help us to hope in You alone, for only You can be called truly faithful. Thank You, Lord, that during this time when our institutions are under assault and our nation is unstable, You, Lord, are the same---yesterday, today, and forever. Yes, Lord, great is Your faithfulness. We thank You, Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

May wicked edicts be overturned and replaced with righteous rulings.
