The Roman Mass in Estelí, Nicaragua, was forbidden on December 5 after eight years. It was the country's only regular Roman Mass.
On July, Francis accepted the resignation of Estelí Bishop Juan Abelardo Mata Guevara, 75, who thanks to (the Society of St.) PiusX converted from liberation theology to Catholicism.
His successors, the present Apostolic Administrator, Monsignor Rolando Álvarez Lago, suppressed the Roman Mass under the pretext of Traditionis custodes.
The priest in charge, Father Augusto César Marín, 43, told RadioAbcStereo.com that the ban was “very difficult” for him adding that all saints were nourished by this Mass and Latin America was evangelised by it.
“Monsignor Rolando Álvarez forbade me to celebrate this Mass publicly, and I accept this decision out of obedience,” he said. There is no merit in obeying a prelate who is fighting the Faith.

Is the Pope Catholic? I don’t think so.
