Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Isaiah 64

[a]Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down,
    that the mountains would tremble before you!

2  As when fire sets twigs ablaze
    and causes water to boil,
come down to make your name known to your enemies
    and cause the nations to quake before you!

3  For when you did awesome things that we did not expect,
    you came down, and the mountains trembled before you.

4  Since ancient times no one has heard,
    no ear has perceived,
no eye has seen any God besides you,
    who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

5  You come to the help of those who gladly do right,
    who remember your ways.
But when we continued to sin against them,
    you were angry.
    How then can we be saved?

6  All of us have become like one who is unclean,
    and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
we all shrivel up like a leaf,
    and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

7  No one calls on your name
    or strives to lay hold of you;
for you have hidden your face from us
    and have given us over to[b] our sins.

8  Yet you, Lord, are our Father.
    We are the clay, you are the potter;
    we are all the work of your hand.

9  Do not be angry beyond measure, Lord;
    do not remember our sins forever.
Oh, look on us, we pray,
    for we are all your people.

10  Your sacred cities have become a wasteland;
    even Zion is a wasteland, Jerusalem a desolation.

11  Our holy and glorious temple, where our ancestors praised you,
    has been burned with fire,
    and all that we treasured lies in ruins.

12  After all this, Lord, will you hold yourself back?
    Will you keep silent and punish us beyond measure?

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Abba Father!
The Earth is Yours, and The Fullness Thereof.
It is You, and Only You,
Who Designed it All,
From the Tiniest Quark to the Most Massive Singularity in Space.
This is Your Creation,
Your Artwork,
Your Splendor,
Out Your Infinite Imagination,
That You have Created For Your Glory and Pleasure.
You Are So Awesome!
What can we do Except Exclaim,
"How WONDERFUL YOU ARE!”

Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.

This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.

Let all that has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.

God Bless America.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

What a Prayer this is! It is a prayer that expresses longing for God, repentance for sin, praise for His Awesome Glory, and total surrender to His Will. Isaiah "gets it".

Many of you have been praying for me because of my unexplained absence for the past three days. Monday Night, New England was hit with a "Nor'easter" that took out Electrical Power, Cell Phone Power, Cable, and blocked many of our streets. This also meant no heat or hot water either. Those with generators ran out of gas and couldn't refill their tanks, and it was getting cold! Last night, the power came back on, but my oil-burner did not, so I'm still cold. I am waiting for the service man as we speak. I want to thank all of you who prayed for me!

It does go to show how habituated we are to technology. I could light my propane stove with a match to boil water, but I could not use the oven because it's computerized. I've been driving my sister around because she can't drive her car legally because of a computer part that is lost in the supply chain somewhere. And for three days, you, my dear FRiends, worried about me because I didn't show up on the computer for three days. I was going nuts because I couldn't post my beloved Jerusalem Thread on my computer. And, of course, our telephones don't work when the computer doesn't. Hmmmm...Do I see a common theme?

Oh LORD, if only You would REND the Heavens and come down!

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

God Bless America.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 10

1 Why, O Lord, do you stand far off?
Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
2 In arrogance the wicked persecute the poor—
let them be caught in the schemes they have devised.

3 For the wicked boast of the desires of their heart,
those greedy for gain curse and renounce the Lord.
4 In the pride of their countenance the wicked say, ‘God will not seek it out’;
all their thoughts are, ‘There is no God.’

5 Their ways prosper at all times;
your judgements are on high, out of their sight;
as for their foes, they scoff at them.
6 They think in their heart, ‘We shall not be moved;
throughout all generations we shall not meet adversity.’

7 Their mouths are filled with cursing and deceit and oppression;
under their tongues are mischief and iniquity.
8 They sit in ambush in the villages;
in hiding-places they murder the innocent.

Their eyes stealthily watch for the helpless;
9 they lurk in secret like a lion in its covert;
they lurk that they may seize the poor;
they seize the poor and drag them off in their net.

10 They stoop, they crouch,
and the helpless fall by their might.
11 They think in their heart, ‘God has forgotten,
he has hidden his face, he will never see it.’

12 Rise up, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
do not forget the oppressed.
13 Why do the wicked renounce God,
and say in their hearts, ‘You will not call us to account’?

14 But you do see! Indeed you note trouble and grief,
that you may take it into your hands;
the helpless commit themselves to you;
you have been the helper of the orphan.

15 Break the arm of the wicked and evildoers;
seek out their wickedness until you find none.
16 The Lord is king for ever and ever;
the nations shall perish from his land.

17 O Lord, you will hear the desire of the meek;
you will strengthen their heart, you will incline your ear
18 to do justice for the orphan and the oppressed,
so that those from earth may strike terror no more.*
