I dont know if dissection is the same thing as “bursting”
I think they start recommending surgery when the ascending aorta reaches 4.5cm. Mine was just over 4.5cm when it was replaced. I also got an artificial aortic valve.
I am going to have to remember the following everytime I fight with my CPAP mask

Obstructive sleep apnea is associated with the progression of thoracic aortic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, and can lead to poor outcomes for those with brain aneurysms.
I think dissection is when the layers start coming apart.
anyone happen to know if your thoracic aorta is normal size but your mid ascending aorta is not normal size is this an abdominal aorta issue or what?
Trying to figure out what I am suppose to be researching in terms of what to watch for and how to prevent it, etc.
I have an AAA too. Discovered accidentally 13 years ago. How long it had been there is unknown. Symmetric. Few mm shy of surgery go. It’s been wait and watch with periodic ultrasound or CT scans. So far has not changed....stable. Progressive enlargement is the red flag. Doc thinks it may be my “normal” diameter from birth. Nevertheless, it’s a very disquieting situation knowing you have a potential hand grenade in your chest.
Prayers for him.
Bttt
I also have an aneurysm due to a congenital BAV. How big was yours before they gave you an AAA?
Aortic root one here. It’s not fun to know you have a scythe waiting to take you out.
“Isn’t Lucado “woke” and a proponent of CRT?”
Good grief. Not at all.

disturbing and disgusting
Robertson’s was/is CBN
No the Crouch’s. Andre was one of the family and a great singer.
My aorta was just over 4.5cm, about 4.7cm or so. I was diagnosed two years ago at age 60. I have always had a heart murmur but no one ever mentioned the possibility of a bicuspid aortic valve. I had chest pains one night went to the doctor a couple of days later and my troponin levels were elevated. I had a cardiac Cath and my cardiac vessels were fairly clean— no stents necessary. They thought the pain and elevated troponin may have been from an aortic dissection but CTs and ultrasounds did not show anything. I had the surgery to my aorta and had a biologic valve replacement. Surgery apparently showed no signs of dissection. Never did figure out what caused the chest pain and elevated troponin. Surgery went ok except one of the chest tubes kinked and would not drain. My chest filled with fluid and I went into A-fib. Had to go back to surgery for more chest tubes
Perry Stone maybe rock solid on subjects like homosexuality, which shouldn’t even be questionable, but I heard him say in a recent video that prayer isn’t prayer, unless it’s spoken.
Where did these charismatics come up with such unscriptural garbage?
Clearly he’s read about Hannah’s prayer for a son... “Now it came about, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli was watching her mouth. As for Hannah, she was speaking in her heart, only her lips were moving, but her voice was not heard.” (1 Samuel 1:12-13)
The Bible called it prayer, though it was inaudible to others.
As for Max Lucado, I lost all respect for him, whatever his belief system, when he came out in 2016, criticizing Trump and Evangelical Christians voting for him.
It’s like these so-called, “men of God,” don’t even believe in redemption or accept the fact that the Church of Jesus Christ is forgiven SINNERS with a vast majority of them having ungodly pasts.
so if it’s that big, then why aren’t they doing the surgery?????
My f-i-l had the surgery and it’s a rough one, but the alternative is for it to rupture, and it’s not “If an aortic aneurysm ruptures, it can cause life-threatening bleeding.”
It *WILL* cause life threatening bleeding. If it ruptures, he’s gone.
Fully vaccinated. There you go.
Screw that site.
“Hypertension is a risk factor for aneurysms, and in November 2017, the American Heart Association (AHA), the American College of Cardiology (ACC), and nine other health organizations lowered the guidelines for the diagnosis of hypertension, or high blood pressure, from to 130/80 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) to 120/80 mm Hg. With the new parameters, about 46 percent of Americans are considered to have high blood pressure. (5)”
That’s as reliable as the 17 intelligence agencies that discovered “Russian Collusion”.
Arbitrary ex-post-facto change to push more drug profits.
