Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 144

Of David.

1  Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
    who trains my hands for war,
    my fingers for battle.

2  He is my loving God and my fortress,
    my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
    who subdues peoples[a] under me.

3  Lord, what are human beings that you care for them,
    mere mortals that you think of them?

4  They are like a breath;
    their days are like a fleeting shadow.

5  Part your heavens, Lord, and come down;
    touch the mountains, so that they smoke.

6  Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy;
    shoot your arrows and rout them.

7  Reach down your hand from on high;
    deliver me and rescue me
from the mighty waters,
    from the hands of foreigners

8  whose mouths are full of lies,
    whose right hands are deceitful.

9  I will sing a new song to you, my God;
    on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you,

10  to the One who gives victory to kings,
    who delivers his servant David.
From the deadly sword 11 deliver me;
    rescue me from the hands of foreigners
whose mouths are full of lies,
    whose right hands are deceitful.

12  Then our sons in their youth
    will be like well-nurtured plants,
and our daughters will be like pillars
    carved to adorn a palace.

13  Our barns will be filled
    with every kind of provision.
Our sheep will increase by thousands,
    by tens of thousands in our fields;

14      our oxen will draw heavy loads.[b]
There will be no breaching of walls,
    no going into captivity,
    no cry of distress in our streets.

15  Blessed is the people of whom this is true;
    blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.

Hallelujah!
Bless the LORD, Oh My Soul,
and let All That is Within Me Bless His Most Holy Name!
Abba Father, Blessed Are You,
Oh LORD, Our God!
King of the Universe,
Ancient of Days,
Rock of All Ages!
It is You, and You Alone,
Who Created All Things,
And You Alone Who Know The End from The Beginning,
And the Beginning from The End.

1. Blessed be the LORD my Rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—
2. My lovingkindness and my fortress,
My high tower and my deliverer,
My shield and the One in whom I take refuge,
Who subdues my people under me.

Thank You, Dear Father For Your Holy Word!
Thank You For Your Precious Inspired Glorious Plan and Promise,
Which You Have preserved for us to this day!
Thank You For Training Our Hands and Fingers For Battle,
Both of a Physical Nature,
And of a Spiritual Nature.
Your Word is Our Sword, and You Are Our Shield.

3. LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him?
Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him?
4. Man is like a breath;
His days are like a passing shadow.

Abba Father, We Lift Up Our Warriors to You.
We Pray that You will give them Wisdom and Grace,
And Guide Them During This Awful Time.

5. Bow down Your heavens, O LORD, and come down;
Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
6. Flash forth lightning and scatter them;
Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them.
7. Stretch out Your hand from above;
Rescue me and deliver me out of great waters,
From the hand of foreigners,
8. Whose mouth speaks lying words,
And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

LORD, We Pray For Truth in the Media.
We Pray For The American People,
May They NOT be Deceived.
May Their Eyes be Opened with regard to God's Plan.

9. I will sing a new song to You, O God;
On a harp of ten strings I will sing praises to You,
10. The One who gives salvation to kings,
Who delivers David His servant
From the deadly sword.

Let us sing the Loudest,
When we least feel like singing.
Let us praise You, Oh LORD Our God,
When we are in the deepest well of despondency.
For Then, We are Truly "Bringing a Sacrifice of Praise
Into the House of The LORD".
Then we are Indeed, "Offering You The Fruit of Our Lips."

11. Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners,
Whose mouth speaks lying words,
And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood—
12. That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth;
That our daughters may be as pillars,
Sculptured in palace style;
13. That our barns may be full,
Supplying all kinds of produce;
That our sheep may bring forth thousands
And ten thousands in our fields;
14. That our oxen may be well laden;
That there be no breaking in or going out;
That there be no outcry in our streets.
15. Happy are the people who are in such a state;
Happy are the people whose God is the LORD!

Lord, we pray for our Brethren in Afghanistan who are in peril.
Rescue them, Comfort them, and give them Safe Passage.
Happy are the People whose God is The LORD.

Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

One of the men working on my house had a tattoo on his arm that looked like a bunch of handwriting. I asked him if I could look at it.

1. Blessed be the LORD my Rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—

"Aha!" I said. "That's the first verse of Psalm 144!"

"Yes, it is!" he replied, surprised that I knew that.

"I like the last line too," I said. "In fact, you NEED the last line to make the first line work."

"What's the last line?" he asked.

"Blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!" I replied.

Actually, the whole Psalm is great, but one only has so much skin on one's arm.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
