Beck urged his audience to “give until it hurts” to fund the evacuation of thousands of mainly women and children from the country, which is now under Taliban control.
“Every single penny that you can come up with will go to flying those planes and getting those people out,” Beck said Wednesday.
“We need, obviously, an enormous amount of money. These are people that are marked for death for what they believe in.”
Encouraging people to donate to the Nazarene Fund he created, the former Fox News host said Christians faced being “crucified” by the Taliban.
After 24 hours, nearly $10m had been donated.
And by Friday, Beck announced the fund had surpassed $22m.
“I’m BLOWN AWAY by what this audience has done to help rescue persecuted Christians in Afghanistan! OVER $20 MILLION raised in less than 3 days! THANK YOU!”
He later tweeted: “YOUR generosity toward rescuing Christians in Afghanistan will be a Moses-style miracle. And it has given me back my hope for the future.”

How do you know they’re Christians?
Since the airspace is closed, be interesting to see where the $$ really winds up.
Anybody think this gives the Taliban a rough proxy of what hostages are worth? They may have a deal with Biden for some implicit compensation - but if the numbers (estimates of raw #’s of Americans and Afghans who were loyal to Americans) are true, they are sitting on a massive $ amount of hostage buyback.
How is this money supposed to get Christians out? Is he going to use it to hire an elite mercenary team to extract people, like in Rambo 4?
In similar news, dozens of left wing groups have donated a half billion dollars to construct rape farms and other safe spaces for children
He said they will be bringing muslims too.
I do believe it is something like that...
I wish him well. It is a noble cause; I hope he knows what he’s doing.
Tissue for himself
I heard him talking about this yesterday while I was in the car. Honestly, he sounded like a snake oil salesman working from a circus tent. It was creepy.
Sadly however things moved too quickly, but not to worry it will be used by Beck to set up his next project.
I’m really curious to know how that is going to be done?
I’d ask for my donation back.
I am a 3rd generation American, but my father’s family is entirely Christian (mostly orthodox) and came from the Palestine/Syria area. Many Americans don’t understand how religion is dispersed in the Arab states. There are native-born Christians, Muslims and Jews throughout those states, mostly living in pretty isolated communities. But importantly, until recent history, they all lived and let live.
But the emergence of fundamental Islam, like Taliban, Isis, Hamas, has made Christians targets for persecution over there. But these are not worldly people who can save themselves, they are poor and not educated.
I think what Beck is doing is fantastic, and he has proven in the past that he can get things done. Why anyone would criticize an effort like this is beyond my comprehension.
It is well to be able to know who your friends are (or at the least, your fellow travelers).
It is not good to fight with like-minded people as he house burns down around you, damning the other guy for the crime of being imperfect, while the arsonist watches from the street and giggles.
You don’t want to fuel his charter jets, than go do something useful of your own.
I thought the same.
I know of a small general aviation airlift that took supplies into the New Orleans area after Katrina. The airspace was closed, and the pilots literally had to fly below minimums and stay off all the CTAF frequencies. A couple pilots had to carry extra fuel. They ended up landing on roadways with people wanting to be carried out. They just couldn't do it. They only made one trip because it turned out to be riskier than they thought it would be.
Glad to know I wasn’t the only one creeped out by his “blessings” sales pitch.
I heard this plea in passing and immediately thought of the same thing. Whole lot of talk about the plight and the generosity of the donors, very light on details about how it's going to help.
Best I could figure would be that the money goes to bribes. Maybe to the Taliban, maybe not Taliban specifically, possibly o,ther Afghans who could shelter the Christian families for a while. I guess raising money to pay bribes to the Taliban doesn't have the same emotional effect though.
Beck was pretty emphatic pushing this effort though, for the limited time I heard it, he has a sort of obligation to make sure he wasn't a patsy or a conspirator in a multi million dollar scam. Well, he should anyway.
