Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 141

A psalm of David.

1  I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;
    hear me when I call to you.

2  May my prayer be set before you like incense;
    may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

3  Set a guard over my mouth, Lord;
    keep watch over the door of my lips.

4  Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
    so that I take part in wicked deeds
along with those who are evildoers;
    do not let me eat their delicacies.

5  Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness;
    let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head.
My head will not refuse it,
    for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

6  Their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs,
    and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken.

7  They will say, “As one plows and breaks up the earth,
    so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave.”

8  But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord;
    in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death.

9  Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers,
    from the snares they have laid for me.

10  Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
    while I pass by in safety.

Oh LORD, Our God,
How Excellent Is Your Name Over All the Earth!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise,
Honor, Glory and Worship,
For Your Alone Are The One True God!
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
Omnipresent,
Holy, Righteous, and Just,
There is No One Like You!
Our Creator, and Creator of All That Is,
You Are The Great I AM,
And All Of Creation Sings of Your Glory!

1. LORD, I cry out to You;
Make haste to me!
Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You.
2. Let my prayer be set before You as incense,
The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Abba Father, We Run To You For Refuge,
To Your Everlasting Arms.
You Are Our High Tower,
Our Refuge and Our Strength,
Our Ever-Present Help in Times of Trouble!
Let Our cries Rise to You amidst the tumult and noise of this age,
For You Are The God Who Sees All, and Hears All!

3. Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth;
Keep watch over the door of my lips.
4. Do not incline my heart to any evil thing,
To practice wicked works
With men who work iniquity;
And do not let me eat of their delicacies.

When we are confronted by the success of the wicked,
Keep us assured that it is only for a season.
When we see them dance in the streets at our misfortune,
Give us the quiet confidence that we are Your beloved.
When they mock at us,
And say "Where is Your God?",
Give Us The Words to Say That Lift Up Your Name,
And Give us the Victory.

5. Let the righteous strike me;
It shall be a kindness.
And let him rebuke me;
It shall be as excellent oil;
Let my head not refuse it.

For still my prayer is against the deeds of the wicked.
6. Their judges are overthrown by the sides of the cliff,
And they hear my words, for they are sweet.

As a Good Father chastises His Children,
You chastise us.
As a Fine Jeweler cleaves a diamond,
So You recreate us in Your Image Daily.

7. Our bones are scattered at the mouth of the grave,
As when one plows and breaks up the earth.

8. But my eyes are upon You, O GOD the Lord;
In You I take refuge;
Do not leave my soul destitute.
9. Keep me from the snares they have laid for me,
And from the traps of the workers of iniquity.
10. Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
While I escape safely.

Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.

To Establish His Kingdom,

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

As you are probably aware, I had some serious damage done to my little mobile home this month when the Water Heater burst. As well as damage to the interior dry wall, there is a door to the crawl space that was destroyed. I needed a piece of exterior plywood to cover that space with a new door.

Plywood is one of those commodities that has skyrocketed in price KUZZACOVID. Plus, it comes in 8x4 foot sheets that will not fit in my car. I don't have a saw to cut it, and the contractor recommended by the insurance company has spurned me because:

1. The job is too small.
2. We don't like to work on mobile homes.
3. We can't get plywood KUZZACOVID.
4. I won't make any money doing your job.

After begging and pleading for a half hour with this guy, I told him I would do it MYSELF and I'll just keep the insurance money! Frustrated and shaking with anger, I headed out to teach my morning lesson.
On the way, I saw a pile of already-cut exterior plywood on somebody's lawn, with a sign on it that said:

FREE.

I banged a Yuwie, and drove back to the house, opened up the hatch, and lowered the seats to receive a piece of plywood. PRAISE THE LORD! VICTORY! HA HA HA!

When I got closer to the plywood, I realized that it was all rotted. It was the wood that had been REMOVED from a project, rather than new plywood. I flipped through several sheets to see if perhaps ONE was salvageable. All of a sudden the pile burst into motion as millions of BUGS poured out! It was like an Indian Jones movie. I shrieked in horror and ran back to my car, making sure Ihad no bugs on me before I proceeded to teach a whole day of lessons. YIKES! What a day.

For the last year or so, I have concluded my daily prayer with this:

"Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed."

It is a scary prayer. When we lift up a rock (or a pile of plywood), we expose what is underneath to the sunlight. What has been festering in the darkness is NOT pretty. But sunlight is a disinfectant.When whatever has been concealed is revealed, it can be mighty ugly. This is true, but necessary. In order for Restoration to happen, there must first be Repentance. And in order for Repentance to happen, there must first be a Revelation.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
