Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 136

1  Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.

2  Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.

3  Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.

4  to him who alone does great wonders,
His love endures forever.

5  who by his understanding made the heavens,
His love endures forever.

6  who spread out the earth upon the waters,
His love endures forever.

7  who made the great lights—
His love endures forever.

8  the sun to govern the day,
His love endures forever.

9  the moon and stars to govern the night;
His love endures forever.

10  to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt His love endures forever.

11  and brought Israel out from among them
His love endures forever.

12  with a mighty hand and outstretched arm;
His love endures forever.

13  to him who divided the Red Sea[a] asunder
His love endures forever.

14  and brought Israel through the midst of it,
His love endures forever.

15  but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea;
His love endures forever.

16  to him who led his people through the wilderness;
His love endures forever.

17  to him who struck down great kings,
His love endures forever.

18  and killed mighty kings—
His love endures forever.

19  Sihon king of the Amorites
His love endures forever.

20  and Og king of Bashan—
His love endures forever.

21  and gave their land as an inheritance,
His love endures forever.

22  an inheritance to his servant Israel.
His love endures forever.

23  He remembered us in our low estate
His love endures forever.

24  and freed us from our enemies.
His love endures forever.

25  He gives food to every creature.
His love endures forever.

26  Give thanks to the God of heaven.
His love endures forever.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father, Who Art In Heaven,
Hallowed Be Thy Name!

1. Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
3. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:

How Wonderful You Are, Dear Father!
How Glorious and Mighty!
Yet Your Mercies Endure Forever,
From Everlasting to Everlasting.
How delightful it is To Praise and Worship You,
For You Alone Are Worthy of Our Adoration!

4. To Him who alone does great wonders,
For His mercy endures forever;
5. To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,
For His mercy endures forever;
6. To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,
For His mercy endures forever;
7. To Him who made great lights,
For His mercy endures forever—
8. The sun to rule by day,
For His mercy endures forever;
9. The moon and stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures forever.

The Earth is Yours,
And The Fullness Thereof,
The Universe in All Its Vast Expanse,
And Even the Tiny Things We Can't see With Our Eyes.
The Molecules and The Atoms,
Even The Quarks and Neutrinos are ALL Your Invention!
You Are the Strong Force that Holds it All Together,
And You Are The Great Designer,
The Exquisite Artist,
The All in All,
The Eternal Ancient of Days,
And Your Mercies Endure Forever!

10. To Him who struck Egypt in their firstborn,
For His mercy endures forever;
11. And brought out Israel from among them,
For His mercy endures forever;
12. With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm,
For His mercy endures forever;
13. To Him who divided the Red Sea in two,
For His mercy endures forever;
14. And made Israel pass through the midst of it,
For His mercy endures forever;
15. But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea,
For His mercy endures forever;
16. To Him who led His people through the wilderness,
For His mercy endures forever;
17. To Him who struck down great kings,
For His mercy endures forever;
18. And slew famous kings,
For His mercy endures forever—
19. Sihon king of the Amorites,
For His mercy endures forever;
20. And Og king of Bashan,
For His mercy endures forever—
21. And gave their land as a heritage,
For His mercy endures forever;
22. A heritage to Israel His servant,
For His mercy endures forever.

Remember Your People Israel Again, Oh LORD,
Surrounded on All Sides By Enemies.
An Enemy that has not only vowed the Destruction of Israel,
But of America,
Jews and Christians,
And Nearly Everybody Else!
Surely this can't be in Your Perfect Will For Your People!
We pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise,
As Stated in Your Word Time and Again.

23. Who remembered us in our lowly state,
For His mercy endures forever;
24. And rescued us from our enemies,
For His mercy endures forever;
25. Who gives food to all flesh,
For His mercy endures forever.

Thank You For Bringing Us to This Day,
For Our Daily Bread,
For Our Freedoms and Liberties,
And For Your Holy Word, Which We Cherish!

26. Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven!
For His mercy endures forever.

Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Psalm 110

Of David. A Psalm.

1 The Lord says to my lord,
‘Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies your footstool.’

2 The Lord sends out from Zion
your mighty sceptre.
Rule in the midst of your foes.
3 Your people will offer themselves willingly
on the day you lead your forces
on the holy mountains.*
From the womb of the morning,
like dew, your youth* will come to you.
4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind,
‘You are a priest for ever according to the order of Melchizedek.’*

5 The Lord is at your right hand;
he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will execute judgement among the nations,
filling them with corpses;
he will shatter heads
over the wide earth.
7 He will drink from the stream by the path;
therefore he will lift up his head.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

When my Water Heater burst two weeks ago, it opened a channel for the City Water to come rushing through. There was no way of isolating the water heater from the rest of the system (Mobile Homes can be weird!), so I had to turn off ALL the water to my house. Nevertheless, it was not in time to prevent the sheet-rock in both my bedroom and bathroom from getting soaked. Well, it seems like not only the sheet-rock got soaked, as my homeowners insurance has a $500.00 deductable AND "depreciation".

Unlike a car though, one can not replace ruined ruined sheet-rock with USED sheet-rock! You can only replace it with new stuff. And, up until the water damage, there was nothing wrong with the wall to qualify it as "depreciated".

Of course, a whole TRIBE of "Yashoulddas" have descended upon me:
"Yashouldda got a private adjustah",
"Yashouldda called my brother-in-law,"
"Yashouldda got a lawyer,"
But it's all water under the trailer now. Anyway...let's talk about "Depreciation."

Blue, My Motorcycle, according to her Vehicle Identification Number, was born in York, PA in June of 1992. That means she's nearly 30 years old. Blue and I have been together since August of 1993, where she was langushing in a showroom in Hampton Roads, VA with only 1600 miles on her. She wasn't even broken in! I traded in my Sporty and rode Blue home to Boston, taking the long way through Richmond, Washington DC, Gettysburg, and several other Civil War Battlefields along the way. The miles started racking up, and just this summer, we broke 40,000. She is now considered an "Antique" (but so am I!) and still looks really good for her age (I'm not so sure about me, though.) Anyway, Blue is fully insured for theft and collision, but only for the actual BOOK VALUE, which isn't much at all. Not even mentioning the deductable and depreciation, Blue would only realize a couple of thousand if she was totaled. (Of course, I would probably be "totaled" as well, so it is a moot point.)

It doesn't matter to the insurance company that Blue and I visited Gettysburg, Antietam, and Harpers Ferry in the same afternoon, rode in Rolling Thunder nine consecutive years, witnessed a Shuttle Launch together at Cape Canaveral, rode the length of the Blue Ridge Parkway and The Colonial Triangle together, attended Laconia and Daytona Bike Weeks (never made it to Sturges), and cruised Alligator Alley and the Florida Keys more times than I can count. To the Insurance Company, Blue is just and old piece of junk.

Today's Psalm is an "Historical Psalm". It is also a "Psalm of Thanksgiving." It exhorts us to "Give Thanks to the LORD, for His Love Endures Forever." Then, to support this exhortation, the Psalm recounts the wonderful things God has done for His People. It is important that people know their History. It is important to know WHY we love God, or WHY we should want to defend our Republic. The teaching of History (not an agenda-driven interpretation, but HISTORY) is essential. Otherwise, time brings forgetfulness (deprciation), and the powers-that-be can get away with devaluing our culture, our laws, our freedoms, and our lives.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

God Bless America!

Thank you. I even ride it to my jobs, if I don’t have to bring a guitar.

Otherwise it’s the car.

I LOVE Coffee! And, like Blue, I only drink Hi-Octane. (Dark Roast...no additives)

Went to a small museum of antique cars this weekend. So much pride and craftsmanship went into these. And the stories they each could tell.

And just as each of the workers who created and care for them, I know It is surely a blessing to be even a small part of something really wonderful.

Prayers up ❤

I LOVE antique car museums! I have been to a few of them, including the Lars Anderson estate in brookline, MA, The one near Luray Caverns in Virginia, and the Indian Motorcycle Museum in Springfield MA. Loads of FUN! :-)

We also have “Cruise Nite” every Saturday at the Walmart parking lot in Halifax MA, and on Wednesday at the Shaws Supermarket in Hanover.
