The parents of a Jesuit High School student have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the suburban Sacramento institution, alleging that their son’s objections to teaching critical race theory led to him being labeled a “bigot” and his forced withdrawal from school.
The lawsuit, filed late Thursday in federal court in Sacramento, identifies the student only as “A.P.,” a 17-year-old Mexican-American student with attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome and dyslexia who has been studying at Jesuit through an accommodation plan.
The suit names as defendants the Roman Catholic school in Carmichael, President John P. McGarry and Principal Michael Wood, who were unavailable for comment Friday.
The suit says the dispute began after the May 25, 2020, murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis by a police officer.
A month after Floyd’s murder, a June 23 letter signed by five students was distributed at the school advocating for “fundamental changes in various aspects of the school’s curriculum, policies and culture,” including the teaching of critical race theory, the suit says.
“Teaching CRT has been banned outright in a number of states, and anti-CRT legislation is pending in other state across the country,” the suit says, labeling the decades-old teaching subject “highly controversial.”
“The letter was read in classes, distributed to the student body, and students were asked to add their signatures to the letter in a show of support,” the lawsuit says. “It was not distributed to parents.
“Students were asked in class what they thought of the June 23 Letter, and A.P. shot off saying he thought it was ‘retarded.’ The teacher quickly reminded A.P. that ‘we are careful with our words.’ Nothing else was said, and no discipline was imposed.”

He obviously has a wonderful economy with words.
Interesting
I asked a freind of mine’s highschooler the same question
he said
” it’s stupid”.
Hopefully this straight to the point conversational approach is a good sign for that generation.
Using the term “fag” with Jesuits cuts too close to home. Or is it too close to homo.
He said the most by saying the least.....................It IS RETARDED................
Apologies—my paragraph spaces didn’t come through

Look what is already starting: “the *decades old* teaching subject.”
Seems like just last week it wasn’t being taught in schools, it was just a legal theory taught in law schools. Nothing to worry about!
But now it’s decades old... Really fast progress by the progressives.
Aaaaand here is Dean of Students, LaRoddric Theodule:
One of the Entertainment & Media publications says that the scripts of TV soap operas will sideline a child character, then return them to the cast in late adolescence or young adulthood a year or two later. They call that "Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome", or SORAS—even using it as a verb, as in, "Billy has been sorased."
Given the average culture and intellect of the left, maybe they "sorased" CRT.
Oh, I remember that! I watched soaps for a month when I was sick once, and it seemed like one day took a week, but years happened overnight!
But thos thing I am mentioning is an actual tactic of the Left. Remember Ben Ghazi? Hillary couldn’t show up before Congress because she had a concussion, and then when she did, she said, What difference, at this point, does it make?
we go from it’s not happening to it’s been happening for so long, why the fuss now? overnight.
I think calling it SORASing is a terrific idea! It will be so much easier to point out and call them out on!
