Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 125

A song of ascents.

1  Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
    which cannot be shaken but endures forever.

2  As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
    so the Lord surrounds his people
    both now and forevermore.

3  The scepter of the wicked will not remain
    over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
    their hands to do evil.

4  Lord, do good to those who are good,
    to those who are upright in heart.

5  But those who turn to crooked ways
    the Lord will banish with the evildoers.

A Song of Ascents.

Oh LORD, Our God!
How Excellent is Your Name Over All the Earth!
It Is Such A Good Thing To Praise Your Name,
Holy and Sanctified,
And Worthy To Be Praised!
It Is Fitting to Those Who Love You To Lift Up Your Holy Name,
To Exalt You, and to Exult in the Glory of Your Holiness!
For You Alone Are Worthy of Worship and Praise,
Rock of Ages,
Ancient of Days!

1. Those who trust in the LORD
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
2. As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So the LORD surrounds His people
From this time forth and forever.

From This Time Forth and Forever!
Thank You, Almighty, Everlasting Father,
For Your Eternal Promise to Your People!
Thank You For Your Holy, Immutable Word,
Which Stands the Scrutiny of Time.
Thank You For Your Faithfulness,
And For Being True To Your Covenants,
Even When We Are Not.
For As You Say:

"Let God Be True,
And Every man a liar."

3. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest
On the land allotted to the righteous,
Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.

Almighty God, We Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray that Anything that defiles Your Holy places Will Be Removed.
We Pray That The People of Israel Will Realize
That Victory and Peace Can Only Come From You,
And from Being In Your Will.

4. Do good, O LORD, to those who are good,
And to those who are upright in their hearts.

We Pray For Those In Our Own Beloved USA, Dear LORD.
We Know There is a Rough Road Ahead.
Keep us Focused and True to You,
And Keep us from the Temptation to "Go With The Flow".

5. As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways,
The LORD shall lead them away
With the workers of iniquity.

Peace be upon Israel!

Thank You, Father,
For These Beautiful "Psalms of Ascents",
To Remind Us Again and Again,
Of Your Love For Jerusalem,
For Israel,
And For Your People.

Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

I first met my late husband at a performance of "The Cherry Orchard" by Anton Checkov. last night, "The Cherry Orchard" was an answer on JEOPARDY. And yesterday would have been my 49th Wedding Anniversary. You can't make this stuff up. There are NO coincidences.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

1 Fools say in their hearts, ‘There is no God.’
They are corrupt, they commit abominable acts;
there is no one who does good.

2 God looks down from heaven on humankind
to see if there are any who are wise,
who seek after God.

3 They have all fallen away, they are all alike perverse;
there is no one who does good,
no, not one.

4 Have they no knowledge, those evildoers,
who eat up my people as they eat bread,
and do not call upon God?

5 There they shall be in great terror,
in terror such as has not been.
For God will scatter the bones of the ungodly;*

I believe it was a sign from your husband that he was with you on your anniversary.

Actually, there were THREE weird things that happened on the Anniversary:

1. While in a pub with my brother, my S-I-L was trying to convince me to do something I didn’t want to do. She said that if I did this thing that I didn’t want to do, the Comm. of MA would enter my name in a Million Dollar lottery. I started to hesitate in my resolve, and SUDDENLY, the Juke Box started playing the Tom Petty Classic “I Won’t back Down, I Will Stand My Ground”.

2. While riding home from this encounter on my motorcycle, a familiar color on the curb caught my eye. It looked like an 18-Can shrink-wrapped package of Penny’s Gourmet Canned Dog Food. In fact, it it the ONLY canned dog food she will eat, and then, only a certain flavor. I rode until I found a suitible place tio turn around, and rode back to the place. It was indeed a brand-new shrink-wrapped case of 18 cans of Penny’s Brand and it was her favorite flavor as well. There were a few other items on a pile and a hand-lettered sign that said “FREE”. So I bungee-corded the case to the seat and took it home.

3. The third “coincidence” was the JEOPARDY! incident.
