[Catholic Caucus] Deputy Rector of US Seminary in Rome Steps Down Amid Accusations Of Homosexuality
Father Adam Park, the Vice Rector of the Pontifical North American College (NAC), the US seminary in Rome, is stepping down.
His resignation comes after multiple allegations of homosexual harassment and misconduct toward seminarians under his authority.
Park was ordained a priest for Washington Archdiocese by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and later served as the secretary to disgraced Cardinal Donald Wuerl.
He relinquished his post after Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill, another highly-placed U.S. cleric who served at the NAC, resigned as General Secretary of the US Bishops' Conference amid reports of alleged serial homosexual misconduct.
Father Gerald Fitzgerald (+1969), who ran a treatment center for homosexual priests in New Mexico, stated that when he was ordained 43 years ago, homosexuality was an unknown rarity but that 1964 "it is rampant among priests".

They have a real good class of honorable men in Rome.
look at their behavior, and that little commie pope wants to banish Latin Masses. Jorve was one of the hippie priests all for Vatican 2. Now that all these hippy priests are dying off, they don’t want to leave w/o making sure Vatican 2 stays in place.
There is nothing stopping me from joining the SSPX. I never made a vow of obedience to the pope. Nor my archbishop.

Another protegee of McCarrick, aka “Uncle Ted” to his victims (which included young seminarians, whose future he controlled).

The August 1-August 7 issue of
Our Sunday Visitor has a news item about Burrill. It refers to "a pattern of sexual misconduct" but quotes Archbishop Gomez to the effect there were no allegations of misconduct with minors. There is nothing in the notice to let the reader know that it was
homosexual misconduct.
(I don't subscribe to that newspaper--someone left some copies in the parish hall last Sunday.)

OSV is a mild, pro-establishment publication. Surprised they covered this story at all.

I used to read it when I was growing up because my mother had a subscription but I have only seen it on rare occasions in recent decades. This issue has several articles about the pope's motu proprio--all but one seem to sympathize with those who like the Latin Mass but seem reluctant to say anything very critical of Pope Francis. In other words, they are wishy-washy. The other item is a bit hard to decipher but seems to have no sympathy for the people who prefer the Latin Mass.
