America, if you want to know what’s coming next, look to Canada and be forewarned

In some respects, Canada has been a step ahead of America in terms of moral and cultural decline. That means that what happens in Canada today—and I mean what happens in the most negative sense—could well be coming to America tomorrow.

Of course, in other respects, America is far ahead of Canada in terms of serious moral issues. Just consider the difference in gun violence between our nations. Or ask yourself who is the world leader in exporting and providing porn; Canada or America?

Yet, when it comes to government overreach or attacks on fundamental liberties or hostility towards the Church, Canada’s descent has been more frightening.

We do well to pay attention to what is taking place to our north…

I would argue a more accurate barometer for the US is California or New York. There are also two America’s already in many ways - cities and flyover country.

However, in terms of hostility towards Christianity at the altar of wokeism, I think Jan is correct.

When I was in the Air Force stationed in England back at the end of the cold war I heard a American Preacher that had been over there for like 20 years or so say:

".....if you want to see where the United States is going to be morally and politically in ten years all you have to do is look at Great Britain and that is where United States will be......"

And it been a long time since he said that, kind of like 30 years plus or so.
