Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Today's Psalm is so short that my little prayer that accompanies it is longer. Not all prayers need to be long and involved. Sometimes, just a few lines will suffice. After all, God knows what we need before we even ask. Jesus gave us a wonderful format for prayer when He gave us the Lord's Prayer, which encompasses Invocation, Praise, Hope for the Future, Petition, Confession, Forgiveness, a Plea for Protection and Deliverance, and Acknowledgment of God's Majesty, all in a few short sentences. For those of us who like "longer" prayers, psalm 119 is coming up soon, which is the LONGEST Chapter in the Bible. (I will, of course, be breaking it up into stanzas.)

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
