Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 108

Psalm 108[a]

A song. A psalm of David.

1  My heart, O God, is steadfast;
    I will sing and make music with all my soul.

2  Awake, harp and lyre!
    I will awaken the dawn.

3  I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
    I will sing of you among the peoples.

4  For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
    your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

5  Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
    let your glory be over all the earth.

6  Save us and help us with your right hand,
    that those you love may be delivered.

7  God has spoken from his sanctuary:
    “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
    and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.

8  Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine;
    Ephraim is my helmet,
    Judah is my scepter.

9  Moab is my washbasin,
    on Edom I toss my sandal;
    over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

10  Who will bring me to the fortified city?
    Who will lead me to Edom?

11  Is it not you, God, you who have rejected us
    and no longer go out with our armies?

12  Give us aid against the enemy,
    for human help is worthless.

13  With God we will gain the victory,
    and he will trample down our enemies.

Our Father in Heaven,
How Hallowed,
Magnificent,
and Sanctified
is Your Most Holy Name!
How Blessed and How True is Your Word,
and How Mighty!
How Glorious,
to Span the Millennia,
To be Unfettered by Time and Space,
To Know The End from the Beginning
and the Beginning from The End!
For it is You, Oh LORD,
Who designed the Galaxies with Your Compass,
And Mapped Out the Vast Reaches of Space
With Your Word and Your Omniscient Imagination!
Scientists tell us even the heavens are finite.
But YOU are Infinite!
LORD, remind us ALWAYS to Worship You,
and not Your Creation.
Your Creation is there but to proclaim YOUR GLORY.

Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

A friend of mine is looking for a mobile home to buy. She attempted to buy one in a senior community nearby, but the prices have gone through the roof. I heard that one of my neighbors was selling her trailer, so Penny and I went over to "investigate". Well, it turns out that the price is reasonable, and the realtor who is handling the listing is also a dear friend of mine. And so, I will make a few phone calls today.

As we stood on the porch discussing a possible buyer for her home, the neighbor said:

"I don't know why anyone would want to buy this house! It's always something! Three years ago, we had to replace the roof, two years ago, it was the water heater, and just last year, we had to replace the whole heating system! It's ALWAYS something!"

My reply was instant:

"Honey, that's not how you sell a house! Although everything you said was true, everything I will say is also true:
The Roof is only three years old.
The Water heater is only two years old, you will not need to replace it for a long time.
And your entire heating system is BRAND NEW! IT WAS INSTALLED JUST LAST YEAR! I HAVE ALL THE PAPERWORK!

Both of us were telling the truth. But we were looking at the truth with different eyes.

Religion, Politics, and life in general are all subject to these kind of presentations. Truth is truth, but how it is presented makes a huge difference.

Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
