More than 20,000 Christians have signed an online petition urging U.S. Cathholic bishops to "stop partisan politics," pushing back against their efforts to rebuke President Joe Biden and other Catholic politicians that support womens' reproductive rights.
U.S. Catholic Bishops voted on Thursday to approve the drafting of a "teaching document" that would rebuke Biden and other Catholic lawmakers for receiving communion while supporting abortion. The result of the vote was announced on Friday, with a 168 in favor and just 55 opposed. The decision came despite guidance from the Vatican to take a more cautious and careful approach to the issue.
"If this right-wing hit job proceeds, it will be in spite of the Vatican warning against the inevitable divisions," said the petition by Faithful America, which describes itself as the largest online community of Christians putting faith into action for social justice. "It would also be just for show: Washington's Archbishop Wilton Cardinal Gregory has made it clear he will not deny Biden Communion, proving the vote's only point is to send a partisan signal."
The Christian organization said the conservative bishops were pushing the effort forward and "prioritizing cheap political points over spiritual grace."

Prevent the murder of innocent unborn children is not "earthly political gain," it is the duty of everyone who calls himself a follower of Christ. It is those who would sacrifice this children for political advancement who are seeking political gain.
If the Bishops believe, as the Church infallibly teaches, that the Host And Wine are the true body and blood of the Risen Savior, they must under Canon 915 direct every Eucharistic minister to withold Communion from publicly known promoters of grave sin like abortion.
It is a matter of instruction about the sanctity of the Eucharist, sacrilege and scandal.
It would be more instructive to the world than any committee written document on the Eucharist these Shepherds are voting to implement.
They weren't Christians saying this; they were (redundantly) Satan-worshipping hell-spawned Demonicrats.

I agree with that. If a soul is in error it’s the duty of the Priests to correct that error. If they do not they fail the entire body of the church. It’s like standing by and not warning a child about a hot stove.

If biden receives communion or not God already knows his heart and whether biden has any true change of heart about abortion and all his other corruption, God know whether biden is mentally out of it or drugged, God knows it all. man just thinks he has control at times.

Sorry BUT the church is responsible for it’s high profile parishioners to follow church doctrine to receive the sacraments leading by example WHY would anyone believe the church doctrine when only CERTAIN PEOPLE have to follow it!! It is the same damn thing with our justice system WHY in the hell should WE have to follow the laws when only CERTAIN PEOPLE have to follow the laws!! I am Catholic and I think the church has become a bunch of hypocrites!! If you have enough money you can have a 20 year marriage annulled making your children born out of the sacrament of marriage!!
