Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 83
Psalm 83[a]
A song. A psalm of Asaph.
1 O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5 With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them
to reinforce Lot’s descendants.[b]
9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor
and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession
of the pasturelands of God.”
13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,
like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest
or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, Lord,
so that they will seek your name.
17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;
may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the Lord—
that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our Father in Heaven, Blessed Are You, Oh LORD,
Our God,
King of The Universe
You Alone Are Worthy,
You Alone Are LORD,
You Alone Are The One True God.
Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent,
There is No One Like You.
Oh How They Conspire together, Father,
Against You and Your Beloved!
They Hate You and Your Law,
How Much More So Do They Despise Your Servants?
Give Us Peace in Our Hearts When We Look at These Situations,
And Give Us Insight into What Is REALLY Going On.
Open Our Eyes to The Spiritual Warfare that Is Taking Place,
So That We Will Be Armed Properly,
And not take these attacks personally.
Let All That Has Been Concealed,
Be Revealed.
LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.
We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Yesterday, I had lunch with an old friend. She is Liberal and I a Conservative (NO WAY! REALLY??? HAHAHA), but, as long as we don't talk politics, we get along great. We went "antiquing" and topped it off with Chinese Food.
My friend ordered the appetizer..."BEIZHING" Ravioli. Everybody else on the planet calls these delectable dumplings "Peking Ravioli", even though the Capital of China has changed its name several times in that last 100 years. It doesn't matter. Peking, Peiping, Beiping, Beijing, Beizhing, is still the Capital of China, and NOBODY in the world, friend or foe, contests it.
World Capitals are nearly always situated on a body of water. Whether it is the Thames, the Danube, the Potomac, The Nile, The Euphrates, The Atlantic or Pacific Oceans, or the Mediterranean, access to water is very important for the growth of a city. This is not only because of the need for the citizens to Drink, but also for Trade, Commerce, International Relations, and so on. Rivers and Oceans provide an easy way to move troops, and so can make the City/State the center of an Empire. There are a few notable exceptions, but a quick list of Capital Cities will confirm my thoughts on this.
A Glaring exception to this is Jerusalem. Situated on a desert elevation in the middle of nowhere, Jerusalem has been the Capital City of the Jews since King David PURCHASED the Threshing Floor of Arounah (see 2nd Samuel 24). David made Jerusalem his Capital, even though it had no seaport or river access (like Babylon or Tyre), and was not on a major Trade Route (like Mecca or Damascus). Yet, it has been contested and fought over ever since. Jerusalem is not even mentioned in the Koran, but Muslims claim it's their "third holiest city". Israeli PM Netanyahu, who is not a Christian, held up a New Testament in one of his speeches and said that even in the New Testament, "Jerusalem" is mentioned over 300 times. I can't even count how many times it is mentioned in the OLD Testament.
Nobody is fighting over the dusty ruins of Memphis or Babylon. Nations around the world dutifully place their embassies in the Capital Cities of both their friends and their enemies. Nobody contests that, although St. Petersburg, Russia, has a lovely Seaport AND a River, that it is not the Capital of Russia. Moscow is. If that's the way they want it, so be it.
But the Whole World contests Jerusalem! Why is that? I've been there. It's not exactly "The Utopian City of Tomorrow". It is what it is. One can only define it as a Spiritual Thing.
Today's Psalm is closely related to Ezekiel 38. It describes enemies surrounding Jerusalem. The two passages name the same enemies, and these are the same enemies that harass Jerusalem to this day. For those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, something BIG is about to happen.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

It is a spiritual thing.
In Revelation, the very last act of Satan and his people is to attack Jerusalem.
They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
Revelation 20:9

Psalm 1
1 Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers;
2 but their delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law they meditate day and night.
3 They are like trees
planted by streams of water,
which yield their fruit in its season,
and their leaves do not wither.
In all that they do, they prosper.
4 The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgement,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
6 for the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
