Catholic President Joe Biden will skip Notre Dame’s commencement ceremony after 4,300 “members of the Notre Dame community” signed a petition opposing an invitation due to Biden’s radical abortion policies.
Fox News reported the event conflicted with the White House’s schedule. However, Biden is apparently spending the weekend at Camp David avoiding recent tradition as former President George W. Bush, President Barack Obama, and Vice President Mike Pence spoke at the ceremony.
The petition to Notre Dame President Fr. John Jenkins not to invite Biden, the second Roman Catholic president, over his stance on abortion says as follows:
He rejects Church teachings on abortion, marriage, sex and gender and is hostile to religious liberty. He embraces the most pro-abortion and anti-religious liberty public policy program in history. The case against honoring him is immeasurably stronger than it was against honoring President Obama.
In brief, to begin with abortion, Biden’s actions already taken and those promised will result in the killing of countless innocent unborn both here and abroad through federal funding of abortions and abortion organizations.
While Notre Dame has had more presidents serve as commencement speakers than any university other than the military academies, we have not always hosted a president in his first year in office — or at all.

Too big of a chance the boo birds might come out. After his Coast Guard graduation fiasco, he’s more cautious about appearing in public. He better stick to riding in Ford Lightning trucks with two steering wheels where he can make the “vroom vroom” sound and act like he’s in charge.

I’m thinking that the decision not to address the graduates originated with Biden’s handlers, as there’s no way he could stand up before a large assemblage and deliver a coherent speech. His word salads are becoming worse by the day. To save his face, the university probably went along with the charade.

Read the article. I know the FReeper tradition is never to read the article, but you will see that he was actually kicked out by a student petition protesting his pro-abortion views. Surprisingly enough, the college authorities seem to have been willing to let this by. Maybe our long captivity is at an end?
In any case, Biden could and would have gone out and spouted his leftist drivel. But I think his handlers had second thoughts and weren’t sure how he’d deal with a protest or anything outside of his bedtime applesauce and cookies.

Notre Dame is as Catholic as the Pope is now.
Notre Dame used to be a Catholic school. I think now it is where one of their football playera raped a young girl and the school never protected her. I think she later committed suicide.
The Catholic church is responsible for a number of young boys who were assaulted and the church never protected them. The church did protect the evil assaulters though. Some of those victims later committed suicide too.

Notes Dame gave an honorary degree to Obama before he did anything at all to warrant it. His only known political proposal was a Bill to legalize killing babies after unwanted births. For that one “accomplishment,” apparently. t

Hard to say that when abortions up to the day of birth are now legal in New York. By the way, let’s stop using the word “fetus.” Let’s say “little one.” That is the cloying term that a lot of women use to refer to their own children. It seems to me it better fits the preborn.
