A British Columbia hospice society recently lost an appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada, one of several legal avenues it unsuccessfully pursued in an attempt to avoid participating in assisted suicide.
Delta Hospice Society, located in the town of Delta in the Canadian province of British Columbia, was founded 30 years ago by a Christian woman who vocally opposed assisted suicide. Up until this year, the private society operated a 10-bed hospice facility, a charity shoppe, and a supportive care center.
In 2016, Canada legalized assisted suicide, which is euphemistically referred to as “medical aid in dying (MAiD).” Following its legalization, Delta Hospice Society faced mounting public pressure over the years to ‘get with the program’ and offer assisted suicide. The society steadfastly refused, however, noting that assisted suicide is not part of hospice care because rather than providing care, it ends a life.
The legal battle officially began in 2019, and at the same time, thousands of advocates of assisted suicide — some local and some from out of town and even from other countries — attempted to become members of the society in an effort to change its policy from the inside. From a pre-controversy membership of around 150, membership increased ten-fold to 1,500 in 2019, and by early this year numbered nearly 9,000.
While critics claimed that the society’s board was “going rogue” and “imposing their religious beliefs on others” by refusing to offer assisted suicide, the society’s president noted that the board was simply maintaining the organization’s founding mission and vision. She emphasized that Delta locals had access to assisted suicide from other sources, saying, “I understand their frustration because a lot of them want access. But of course they do have access to it in our community. They have access.....

Bob Hope once joked about leaving California before homosexuality was mandatory.
The Judges who passed with will beg for relief from the eternal fires, yet there will be no mercy left for them who mandated the killing of the elderly
lol! ..And that was at least 30 years ago!
Pure evil.
Mandatory assisted suicide.

Canada’s government is due for a purge.
There is a lot of soul growth right up to the time of death. Denying people that opportunity is a crime.
If the physical body is in pain, it facilitates soul departure. Removing the pain just prolongs the process of rising above it.
I’ve done hospice work periodically for thirty plus years. Been with many people at their moment of death. Even died myself in 1988 of meningitis, went to Heaven and returned to my physical body.
I’ve been in discussion groups with hospice Dr’s, nurses, and caregivers where they were proud that they overdosed people to kill them. They really don’t understand the death process.
The pre-death agitation phase is critically important prior to death. I’ve observed this many times, and the resulting peace and contentment after it.
There are two ways to die.
1. The physical body is no longer functional for the soul to occupy it, so the soul departs.
2. The ego diminishes in a process of surrender during the pre-death agitation phase which facilitates transcendence. Transcendence is where the soul awareness expands beyond the physical body and awareness of Heaven without physical death is possible. This is graduation and the ultimate goal in life.
This is the goal of the mystics and the reason they meditate. This is what Jesus spoke of in “dying daily.”
One you transcend self, the connection and awareness of God provides so much Love and Bliss that you do not feel any physical body pain. There is so much Love that it is impossible to feel fear.
Drugs deny the soul this valuable experience. I prefer to exit my body by focusing on my destination, not looking back upon the physical vehicle I occupied.
I’ve had people cry prior to death and explain that they were in fear that they were going to hell. We prayed and the Holy Spirit entered their body and soul and cleansed it prior to death. When this happens, the person generates heat that feel as though you are sitting by a furnace as the Fire of the Holy Spirit cleanses their soul so it can go to Heaven. Without this cleansing, they are afraid of the bright Light of Heaven and their souls remain stuck in hell.
Hell is the experience of those who hold onto guilt, fear, or hatred which become obstacles to Love in their soul, creating the perpetual fear that the high frequency Light of Heaven will kill them. Often, these souls remain stuck as ghosts. I’ve helped thousands of these souls cleanse to enter the Light.
This is all real. Welcome to my reality ever since I died, went to Heaven and returned. The Bible is the truth and teaches us this process.
When a person dies, they need their connection to the Light of Heaven for their soul to expand beyond their physical body. This is the Light in the tunnel many survivors speak of.
The life review process is merely the soul awareness expanding through their stored memories in their soul. This is what Paul was referring to in Hebrews 9:28..... as a judgment as you get to see all the obstacles to Love and Light in your soul.
These stored memories in other people’s souls became physical to me ever since my own death and visit to Heaven.
When people die near me, I get freezing cold as they are draining my soul energy to expand, until I help them find their own Higher Connection.
Long past due! The problem is, there are so many True-dope sycophants in Ontario and Quebec, that he will get re-elected, probably with a majority! Even here in Alberta, churches are being attacked by Provincial health officers, obviously with the Premier’s say so. Kanadahar is truly screwed!
Good post! Paramahansa Yogananda achieved mahasamahdi, or transcendence, on March 7, 1952, at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, which was a time and place of his own choosing for his soul to ascend to heaven. Namaste!
They’re dishonest. They need to call the centers “death centers.”
This will happen in the USA when government takes over health”care”. Eliminate the old folk - mostly White anyway - and replace them as obama and the left so fondly desire.
My friend lives in Nova Scotia, he’s dying, can’t get medical care, to weak to travel. Nazi Trudeau says commit suicide. My stubborn Scot friend says H-NO. But illegals and refugees get medical care 1st.
The govt. system is often not fair to its own citizens. I hope your friend finds a good hospice or affordable palliative care.
