It’s Official: German Bishops introduce Protestant Communion

Presiding Limburg Bishop Georg Bätzing wants to advance "unity" with Protestants, he said during an April 22 discussion (Katholisch.de).

Therefore, the Protestant and "Catholic" services at the May 15 Ecumenical Kirchentag (church meeting) in Frankfurt will make this clear: "Anyone who is Protestant and comes to Communion can receive Communion," Bätzing believes.

He adds that those believing that Jesus is "the inviter at the Eucharist" will not be turned away. Bätzing explains that this practice is followed “all over" and is "nothing new".

Bätzing does not expect "any objection from Rome". There are Vatican reservations about the Church in Germany, he claims: "For many officials in Rome, the German Catholic Church has a Protestant smell." Bätzing admits that this doesn't concern the highest level of prefects, but [meaningless] senior officials.

The damage of Bätzing's anti-Catholic activism may however be limited as the church meeting will mostly be a very limited online show.

Religion becomes about power and money and always runs the risk of losing the idea of what it’s all about, the message it’s supposed to convey.

It’s the defect of organized religion, which Christianity never was, until Rome became Christian ~ 313 AD. This brought the idea of modern day priests, churches, all these rituals and ceremonies that only a special church official could perform in.

You had a lot of priests to Jupiter that were “unemployed” and quickly became Christian priests since after all, even the big cheese himself was a Christian now, Constantine. It is not without reason that many early churches were basically designed around the Roman Basilica, and that todays Church with it’s sanctuary and holly area at the far end... all Roman temple adaptations: https://c8.alamy.com/comp/E1EH7T/the-interior-of-the-temple-of-jupiter-optimus-maximus-or-temple-of-E1EH7T.jpg

Early Christian churches were home and outdoor churches. When Rome went Christian, a lot of the “organized religion,” with it’s rituals, priests, uniforms, traditions that were all made up and not really Biblical came in. If you want “Christianity pure,” it’s pre-Roman Christian - since the Roman influence already significantly changed things.

Definitely.
But also.. im not getting WHY a Protestant would want to attend the Catholic Liturgy in the first place? What am I missing?
And are Confession and the Real Presence of the Eucharist waived as well?

Christianity had rituals and priests long before AD 313, sorry.

The "uniforms" are simply descended from Roman secular garb at the time -- tunics and togas -- and have just evolved much less than the normal secular clothes men wear in our culture.

BTW, it's been conclusively demonstrated by archaeologists that the Jewish Temple is architecturally similar to near-eastern pagan temples of that era.

That"s a load of () Red...the CATHOLIC Mass begun well before Rome... and it was the Mass that Converted Rome...not the other way round. You need to read a little more of the Easliest Church Fathers to Learn the Truth

Heres the "ritual" of the Catholic Mass as handed down from the Apostles...

Justin Martyr (100-165AD)
And this food is called among us Εὐχαριστία [the Eucharist], of which no one is allowed to partake but the man who believes that the things which we teach are true [assents to the doctrine of the Church], and who has been washed with the washing that is for the remission of sins, and unto regeneration [baptism], and who is so living as Christ has enjoined [no mortal sin; in a state of grace]. For not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as Jesus Christ our Savior, having been made flesh by the Word of God, had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word [the words of institution/consecration],
and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation [what the Church codified as “transubstantiation”] are nourished, is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh [the Real Presence]. For the apostles, in the memoirs composed by them, which are called Gospels, have thus delivered unto us what was enjoined upon them; that Jesus took bread, and when He had given thanks, said, “This do in remembrance of Me,” [Luke 22:19] “This is My body”; and that, after the same manner, having taken the cup and given thanks, He said, “This is My blood”; and gave it to them alone.

There's actually little-to-no evidence for that. The Roman pagan religion wasn't completely shut down until sometime after AD 380, 70 years after Constantine's edict.

The career of Julian the Apostate totally destroys all of the "pagan syncretism" arguments. He knew full well that paganism hadn't infected Christianity, and wanted Christianity destroyed and paganism resurrected.

Being Catholic Lite ( Lutheran ), I have never understood or liked the fact that I, as a baptized Christian, could not take communion in the Catholic church. My sister married a catholic, two of my sons married catholics, when I go to their church, I am denied communion. That is wrong to me. We all believe in and worship Jesus Christ, but if Jesus Christ walked in to a Catholic church, they would deny him communion because he was not Catholic.

...........................................
The Satan Vatican Council (1962-65) intentionally undermined the theological foundations of all seven Sacraments, especially Holy Communion and Confession.

From:
https://www.catholic.com/magazine/print-edition/why-is-communion-for-catholics-only

Because the Church has a responsibility to teach what Scripture teaches. Think of it this way: If the Church allowed everyone to take Communion, it would be giving up its responsibility to teach what Christ and his apostles taught. If Scripture says that receiving communion is a fellowship or a sharing in the body and blood of Christ, and the Church allowed a person to receive it who didn’t believe in it this way, then the person is engaging in a act of lying, even if he is not aware of it as lying. By his actions he is saying that he believes what the Catholic Church says is true, but in his mind he doesn’t believe it. The Church does not want to put anyone in the position of having to lie with their actions, so it insists that a person receiving Communion must believe in the Eucharist in the way that the Catholic Church teaches....
Either the Eucharist is the body and blood of Christ or it isn’t. What any individual believes doesn’t alter the truth of the matter. If a person receives the Eucharist, he is receiving the body and blood of Christ, regardless of what he believes. So if he receives the body and blood while not believing it to be the body and blood, he is placed in the position of someone whose actions belie his beliefs. The Church wants to spare a person that contradiction between beliefs and actions.

“then the person is engaging in a act of lying, even if he is not aware of it as lying.”

Sorry, a bit too much like “all whites must acknowledge their racism, even if they don’t know they’re racist.”
