Talmudic Judaism holds different ideas about shekinah. One is that shekinah was God’s first creation. The most widely belief is God has both male and female attributes and shekinah is God’s feminine nature, a concept Jews picked up during Babylonian captivity and borrowed from the goddess worship of Ashtoreth. Shekinah was not part of Mosaic nor Messianic Judaism. It is the offspring of Talmudic Judaism and the Kaballah.

The word ‘shechina’ ( spelt shekinah elsewhere ) was never used by Jesus or His apostles and it can’t be found in the Bible. Rabbis familiar with Targum use the term ‘shekina’. Targum is a translation of Old Testament never used by Jesus or His apostles. They used Septuagint or Greek translations of the Old Law.
