Jeremiah Chapter 7
They were dealing with each other unjustly Jeremiah 7:5
They were oppressing foreigners Jeremiah 7:6
They were oppressing the fatherless {orphans} and widows {the defenseless} Jeremiah 7:6
They were killing innocent people Jeremiah 7: 6
They were stealing, murdering, committing adultery and committing perjury in the courts. Jeremiah 7:9
God spoke to them again and again and told them to stop doing all these sins, but they refused to listen to Him and they kept on murdering innocent people. Jeremiah 7:13
They were stiff-necked and would not listen and obey the Lord -- they refused to respond o His correction. Jeremiah 7:24-28
They even murdered their own children by burning them in fire as sacrifices to their blood-thirsty false gods. Jeremiah 7:30-31
God spoke to them repeatedly and told them to stop murdering innocent people, and to stop stealing, and to stop oppressing widows and orphans and to stop murdering their children by offering them in the fires as sacrifices to their false blood-thirsty gods -- but they de facto told God, "No we will NOT stop murdering innocent people." So God destroyed them and gave their dead bodies to the birds of the air and they became meals for the vultures -- "food for the birds" Jeremiah 7:32-33
Concluding Remarks: No human is forced to choose wrongly and thereby bring destruction upon themselves. God gave us free will and we can choose to listen to Him and obey His commands. He knows what is best for us and He has made a way for us to say no to destructive sin and wrong doing.
The Lord Jesus opened our path to forgiveness and peace with God by His death on the Cross. He purchased our salvation by shedding His blood on Calvary. His death and Resurrection created a New Covenant {a New Testament} between God and humanity.
"Whoever hears my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." John 5:24
"Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1

Babies would surely be innocent as they are without sin. Surely the unborn are without sin.

Yes, God killed innocents with the Great Flood. No, God was not wrong in doing so.
Life--every life--is God's to do with as He wills. That is why "Thou Shalt Not Kill" is a commandment to us. Others' lives are not ours to take. Our lives are not ours to take, thus suicide is covered in that as well.
However, since God created all, every life is God's to do with as He pleases. We are not the Potter, and the clay should not question the Potter as to His will with the clay.

Babies are not without sin, they are born into the si. Nature, there are none rkghteous. The difference with babies is that they are before the age of reason, or knowledge, or whomever you wish to say it. They will not be held accountable for their sin state because they don’t know any better before a certain age.

In actuality, per the Bible, yes.
For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
As by one man sin entered the world and so death passed upon all men.
However, I also feel the Bible supports that those who died not capable of “knowing their right hand from their left hand” are forgiven in the presence of the Lord.
Nice christian response there. Jesus always preached to repent the. preached the Good news. Knowledge of sin comes first then comes the Gospel

The consequences of the original sin are passed down through generations but that does not make one a sinner upon conception or birth.

Christ died for our SINS. Not just for a better life now. Not for success, health, a better marriage, or any other positive thing that may or may not be received by us from God. He dies for our SINS. A person who is not cognizant of sin is unaware of a need for salvation. And salvation from sin comes by the Gospel.
All of the biblical examples of the Gospel being preached include these same elements. The Gospel contains information (including an awareness of sin) and instructions (more particularly commands by God). The Gospel is something that must be obeyed in order for the hearer to benefit. The Gospel requires repentance and faith. It requires an understanding that Jesus is Lord (Yahweh) and Savior.

The Holy Spirit is not a nebulous cosmic force like something out of Star Wars. He is a person who resides in believers in Christ. He operates in the preaching of the Gospel THROUGH those believers in whom He resides. An example of this is Peter preaching the Gospel in Act 2 AFTER receiving the Holy Spirit and many thousands believing. Another is Stephen who preached the Gospel in Acts 6 and 7 while being filled with the Spirit. The audience was convicted of sin but did not repent. Later though, Paul, who was among the crowd that murdered Stephen, did repent and trusted in Christ.
