My point is the transfiguration account (which is today's reading) with Moses and Elijah is deeply rooted in the prophecies and I rarely, if ever, hear that in sermons/homilies.

Instead, what is often said are silly projections about the Apostle Peter and his desire to build tabernacles as if that were completely unrelated to the time and season of the event.
