In case you’re wondering how some religions are coping with the outbreak of COVID-19, just look to the Jehovah’s Witnesses to see how absurd reactions can get.
In a recent video featuring Governing Body member Stephen Lett, he absolutely delights in the disease because he sees it as a signal that Armageddon is imminent.
So the events unfolding around us are making clear, [more] than ever, that we’re living in the final part of the Last Days. Undoubtedly, the final part of the final part of the Last Days, shortly before the last day of the Last Days.
“The rapture” is nonsense. Jesus will return, once. Prepare to endure unto the end.
I guess we all missed the second coming of Jesus and 144,000 godly folks ascending into heaven.
Either that or we don’t recognize Jesus and don’t know any truly godly folks.
Sorry, we are told to contend for the faith. That is, to oppose false doctrines and ‘other’ religions which do not promote The Gospel of Grace and instead insist on working for what God alone can give, namely eternal life.
They are a joke.
For an oganization that believes only a measley 100,000 Jehovah’s Witneses , past present and futre, will make it to heaven,
Would YOU then go door to door with the goal of getting MORE people to join?
Someone you recruit might just wedge you out of the few spots left...
Sorry, 144,000
Not hardly better
Literally, the Jews are 8.33% of the Tribes.
I also hold to that belief. That does not mean I think those who believe in Pre-Tribulation rapture are evil. They will find out along with me.
In my mind, if you are waiting for something that you expect others will miss, may lead you to lose faith when you will need it most. If you are preparing to remain faithful and “working” until the very end, you will be caught up early or late.
In Jim’s case, it actually was pretty near LOL
I thought 1914 was the end?
Do you agree with the Jehovah’s witnesses end times prophecies? Btw, common courtesy would say you include a person when you bring up lies about him
Still a few hours left for the rapture of 28th February 2021!
In case you’re wondering how some religions are coping with the outbreak of COVID-19,
Ummm, no, not really. Those that concern me I can see.
just look to the Jehovah’s Witnesses to see how absurd reactions can get.
An atheist columnist writing about a Christian derived heretical cult, is not something I'm going to worry about greatly.
The JW's take on it is going to be their own, and quirky.
That bible holds so, so much information...And I agree, there are a couple of scriptures that say some people must endure to the end...They must 'overcome'...But there are so many other verses that tell us we as Christians have already overcome...
The Rapture is not a 'coming of Jesus Christ'...Jesus does not come to Earth at the Rapture...We Christians leave the Earth...
One thing people might not understand but need to is that there are no judgments made in heaven...They are done outside of heaven...We must be deemed clean, holy, righteous before we can be presented to the Father as perfect...That's why Jesus leaves heaven at the Rapture...Our less than good works must be revealed and burned from our record so we can become presentable to the Father in heaven, worthy of the role of becoming the bride of Jesus Christ...
And sorry, that is not a purgatory...There will be no pain...There are no flames that will touch our bodies, only the records of our bad works to destroy the records...And we will not be waiting somewhere for eons to wait for approval to be in the presence of Jesus...The move will be instantaneous...We have already been approved...Just a little cleaning on the way up...Kinda like riding in your car going thru the car wash...
Pretty narrow view you got there...
Even Seventh day Adventists believe Jesus is another name for archangel Michael. Do you say the Adventists are Christian or not?
You are a deceiver. You do not seserve common courtesy, preterist.
True that Christ is our redemption. As it’s been explained to me, the rapture is described in the passage that speaks of that moment when the dead in Christ rise and we who remain meet the Lord in the air. However that passage describes the Second Coming itself, not Darby’s rapture.
Nah, the deceivers are those who teach the pre tribulation rapture. That’s a fake philosophy that denies Christ’s very words.
You gave Pseudo ephraim as your “proof” for the pre tribulation rapture philosophy having earlier origins than the 19th century and darby. But that is false.
The Pseudo ephraim text is explicitly non pre tribulation rapture.
The very words of Jesus show the falsehoods in your philosophy.
Jesus didn’t promise us a magic get away card.
On the contrary He told us to expect to suffer for him. You deny that
