Mark 13:12 brother will deliver brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.

A time is coming when a neighbor will be betraying a neighbor to the government. And don't think it will only be a liberal betraying a conservative. Conservatives WILL betray fellow conservatives. Why? How? Consider that one can be a conservative for different reasons. For example: one may be a conservative because he thinks it is immoral to kill, so they are against abortion; one may be against taxes because it is stealing, one may think the republican candidate is running on more issues that align with God's standards. Not all conservatives are Christians. Whether the coming difficult time: is purely another difficult political time, it will be the Tribulation or a non Tribulation difficult time will come before the rapture; people will betray others because they will think it will help keep themselves out of trouble. It has happened before during wars and during political changes, even during changes of management in companies.

You may be able to avoid some betrayals by being observent and realizing untrustworthy persons by their character and avoiding them, Do they point fingers? Do they allow another person to disagree or do they insist that their opinions must accepted as correct? Do they insist on being the leader? Even with these observations you can be surprised. The thought here is not to avoid all betrayals but to be prepared for it to happen. Jesus knew Judas would betray Him and He still chose Judas to be His disciple, Matthew 26. Jesus trusted in the Father to accomplish the Father's will and to raise Him out of the grave to Glory. Trust in God and His provision; don't trust in any man.
