The Nebraska priest who told a videographer that he had performed an exorcism at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 said during Mass at his church Sunday that the videographer, whom he called anti-Catholic, had misrepresented his comments through editing.
Some former parishioners at St. Michael Catholic Church in Central City who have longstanding concerns about the Rev. David Fulton were further angered, and a representative of the Archdiocese of Omaha said the church was seriously examining the “internal personnel matter.”
Fulton delivered his homily after the day’s Bible reading — which happened to be about Jesus expelling unclean spirits from a man — and then addressed his attendance at the pro-Trump rally in Washington, D.C.
But before reading the apology that Fulton said Omaha Archbishop George Lucas told him to recite, Fulton offered his view.
Fulton said the Jan. 6 crowd in D.C. was so large that people who stood on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to take photos couldn’t fit everyone in the frame. He reiterated what he told church officials, that he didn’t learn about the siege on the Capitol until after he returned to his hotel.
He then turned his focus to Eddie Becker, the filmmaker who had interviewed Fulton and posted part of the interview online.
“This guy wanted to interview me, and I could tell that he wasn’t ... of good intention,” Fulton said. “But I thought maybe I could lead him to something that could help to evangelize him. And so I tried to find commonalities with what he was saying — he was saying very anti-Catholic stuff.

You mean that AOC’s head spun 360 degrees and she had green puke?
When Nancy dies the Devil better watch his back
Yep, sounds like the demons threatened him.
Exorcisms will always be controversial, even with other Catholics. This Priest made his biggest error by publicly boasting about having done it. Vanity used to be considered a sin too. The topic is not meant for casual conversation to non-Catholics, at least not by the Clergy.
He should apologize, he failed miserably to excercise all the demons there.
But kudos for trying.
spiritual warfare is being waged
Did AOC yell out, "Your Mama Sews Socks That Smell!"
Yeah I wondered if anyone would catch that.
An exorcism must be approved by the bishop, since he is the chief exorcist for the diocese and typically authorizes one or more priests (who have been trained) to undertake the exorcism for him.
It didn’t take.
Like trying to put out an erupting volcano with a garden hose.
Did this priest even go to the Capitol building? Or did he just stay down near the ellipse or on one of the roads with many marchers? I tried to read the article but it kept jumping to something that asked me to subscribe.
.
I see not need for his apology. He did what needed to be done.
Maybe he needs to go and perform an exorcism at the Vatican.
