Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Lambs, Sheep, and Shepherds

.

John 2

Jesus Clears the Temple Courts

13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”[c]

18 The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”

19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.[d] 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

New International Version (NIV)(End of Scripture Passage)

This incident is the first time Jesus chastised the Moneychangers in the Temple. It will happen again the week before His death.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Out of the Depths of Despair I Cry To You, Dear Father,
For You See All, and Hear All!
You Alone Are Worthy To Be Praised And Worshiped,
For You Alone Are The One True God!
You Are Omniscient,
and You Always Know The Truth,
Because You ARE The Truth!
Deliver Your Children From The Lies and Slander Perpetrated by the Media,
and by The enemy of Our Souls.
For What Shield have we against a Lying Tongue?
What Defense have we against an ugly rumor,
a false witness, a bad report,
or a mean gossip,
a confidence betrayed?
These are darts and arrows that sting and burn more than any earthly physical weapons,
and often come from those we trust the most.
Dear Father, we Run To You,
to Your Everlasting Arms,
Fleeing this vicious world of Lies, Calumny and Slander,
To The Comfort of Your Gracious and Perfect Light of Truth,
That Shines So Brightly that
All Lies are Shriveled Up in the Glare of Your Infinite Justice and Righteousness.

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Pray For Our Beloved USA
We Ask That Your People Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.

Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Back when we looked at the "Tabernacle, The Temple and the Ark of the Covenant", we studied this incident. I didn't plan that it would come up today, but here it is. The Lord works in mysterious ways sometimes.

Come and pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

God Bless America!

She will soon be restored because soon and very soon we are going to be witnesses to the Lords return.

Following seven years of great tribulation soon to come, (otherwise known as “The time of Jacobs woes”) the King of kings and the Lord of lords will break through that eastern sky to destroy her enemies and to set up His Kingdom.

Those of us who are truly Born Again will be raptured soon to be present with the Lord for ever more: 1’st Thessalonians 4:13-18

And again concerning Israel...

Genesis 12:3
King James Version
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Amen !!! <><

Psalm 40

To the leader. Of David. A Psalm.

1 I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up from the desolate pit,*
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.

4 Happy are those who make
the Lord their trust,
who do not turn to the proud,
to those who go astray after false gods.
5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God,
your wondrous deeds and your thoughts towards us;
none can compare with you.
Were I to proclaim and tell of them,
they would be more than can be counted.

6 Sacrifice and offering you do not desire,
but you have given me an open ear.*
Burnt-offering and sin-offering
you have not required.
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am;
in the scroll of the book it is written of me.*
8 I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart.’

9 I have told the glad news of deliverance
in the great congregation;
see, I have not restrained my lips,
as you know, O Lord.
10 I have not hidden your saving help within my heart,
I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation;
I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness
from the great congregation.

11 Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe for ever.
12 For evils have encompassed me
without number;
my iniquities have overtaken me,
until I cannot see;
they are more than the hairs of my head,
and my heart fails me.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me;
O Lord, make haste to help me.
14 Let all those be put to shame and confusion
who seek to snatch away my life;
let those be turned back and brought to dishonour
who desire my hurt.
15 Let those be appalled because of their shame
who say to me, ‘Aha, Aha!’

16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation
say continually, ‘Great is the Lord!’
17 As for me, I am poor and needy,
but the Lord takes thought for me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
do not delay, O my God.

Later on, Jesus Himself bought some sheep, on the cross. As one of His growing flock, I will gladly follow Him anywhere. And when His favorite lamb Mary-Lou (technically, we’re all His favorites) says “Pray,” I say “Amen!”
