A Belfast church is closing its doors through Wednesday amid fears that “liberal” churches could be targets before Joe Biden’s inauguration.
That message from the Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast comes at a time of heightened tension in the United States as Donald Trump is set to leave the presidency this week.
“There is a collective anxiety in our country following the events at the capital on January 6th and I know our giant UU hearts feel every bit of it. Let’s be sure we take the time we need to remain connected to one another and to take care of ourselves,” the church said in a Saturday message to its congregation.
The church made the decision to close after the Maine Council of Churches warned about potential threats to churches “perceived as ‘liberal.’” The council stressed no threats had been made against specific churches, but only relayed a message from the United Church of Christ, which had received “credible warnings” from police.

It is some sort of psychological projection—like a little kid who stole some cookies and has gotten away with it, but is terrified of getting caught and spanked.
I notice the Left has a lot of paranoia, which they lap up like honey.

They’re not a real church...basically just a “social club” with a little religion tossed in once in awhile to maintain the 401c exemption.
They know there is a karma problem—what they don’t know (and what none of ever know for sure)—is when the bill comes due.

Drama queens
I have to repeat an old story for you.
Many decades ago I was in college. One of my best friends was a classmate who was a “townie” (born, raised, lived in an apartment in town).
He had very long unkempt hair, smoked weed, and wore old clothes—so he fit in very nicely in the early 1970s college campus scene.
But—he had a secret hobby—and only a couple of his very closest friends got to find out about it.
Over the years he had collected every Nazi, Klan, and other right wing extremist book, brochure, leaflet, magazine, flyer that he could get his hands on...
There were piles of this stuff, literally from floor to ceiling of his apartment.
It was not that he was actually political—it was just a hobby he enjoyed—something weird, something secret.
Today the FBI would undoubtedly monitor his communications and soon have a SWAT raid and round him up as a domestic terrorist.
The guy never harmed a fly or even said a bad word to anyone.
