Job 42
42 Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”
Epilogue
7 After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has. 8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the Lord told them; and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.
10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. 11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the Lord had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver[a] and a gold ring.
12 The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.
16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. 17 And so Job died, an old man and full of years.
Footnotes
1. Job 42:11 Hebrew him a kesitah; a kesitah was a unit of money of unknown weight and value.
New International Version (NIV)(End of Scripture Passage)
Fast Forward to the end: Job did not curse God, even though his wife and alleged friends nearly drove him to it. In the end, God blessed him with more than he had ever had before.

Psalm 66
To the leader. A Song. A Psalm.
1 Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth;
2 sing the glory of his name;
give to him glorious praise.
3 Say to God, ‘How awesome are your deeds!
Because of your great power, your enemies cringe before you.
4 All the earth worships you;
they sing praises to you,
sing praises to your name.’
Selah
5 Come and see what God has done:
he is awesome in his deeds among mortals.
6 He turned the sea into dry land;
they passed through the river on foot.
There we rejoiced in him,
7 who rules by his might for ever,
whose eyes keep watch on the nations—
let the rebellious not exalt themselves.
Selah
8 Bless our God, O peoples,
let the sound of his praise be heard,
9 who has kept us among the living,
and has not let our feet slip.
10 For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried.
11 You brought us into the net;
you laid burdens on our backs;
12 you let people ride over our heads;
we went through fire and through water;
yet you have brought us out to a spacious place.*
13 I will come into your house with burnt-offerings;
I will pay you my vows,
14 those that my lips uttered
and my mouth promised when I was in trouble.
15 I will offer to you burnt-offerings of fatlings,
with the smoke of the sacrifice of rams;
I will make an offering of bulls and goats.
Selah
16 Come and hear, all you who fear God,
and I will tell what he has done for me.
17 I cried aloud to him,
and he was extolled with my tongue.
18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
19 But truly God has listened;
he has given heed to the words of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God,
because he has not rejected my prayer
or removed his steadfast love from me.
Good morning 🌄 🙏 and prayers always.
I know this isn’t the official prayer thread, but I feel close to you and you being a woman of The Word, May I humbly ask a small prayer? I ask a prayer for my daughter ‘Hope’. For her to open her Heart and mind to God.
Thank you.
That’s a wonderful Prayer Request, and I will do so, and also invite others on the thread to join with me in praying for Hope.
(((HUGS)))
Christian research scientists surveyed an enormous number of born-again Christians and found these two universal characteristics:
1. The average number of times they heard the Gospel prior to finally believing was between seven and eight, although of course the range is much broader.2. Every single believer could identify at least one (of the several or many) that actively prayed for their salvation.
A woman in our church, Nell Viera, prayed for her husband's salvation for fifty years, and I am happy to report that you will be meeting Mr. Viera in heaven.
And that’s why we “pray without ceasing!”
Hugs and Thank you. I have been praying for several years on this indeed. Though Nell Viera certainly has several years more. And I have heard of accounts like Nell’s. And praise God for the beautiful prayers answered.
🙏 Amen ❤
Hugs and Thank you so very much 💖
Hallelujah and Amen
I love happy endings!
Joining in prayer, left that other site, for the Peace of Jerusalem and for our beloved America.
Amen! My prayers always. God bless.
Amen, joining together in Prayer with all
