Kabul: A suicide bomb attack targeted a funeral ceremony in Afghanistan's Paghman district on Monday left at least one person killed, media reports said.
Ferdaws Faramarz, a spokesman to Kabul Police HQ, told Khaama press that the incident occurred when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest out side Bolsan Mosque in the Bolsan village.
One civilian was killed, as the bomber detonated his explosive vest during the Fatiha (a ritual ceremony often after the funeral), reported the news agency.
Police have started investigating the matter.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident so far.
Sounds like this bomber needed more range time. ;o)
I wouldn’t claim responsibility either if all I could kill was one civilian. Oh, and myself.
The suicide bombers are not committed idealists. They are weak minded people who are manuvered into the job by whatever means are necessary. According to Israeli articles they are often high on drugs, so there is every possibility that they are so mentally compromised they can’t determine when or where is a good time to meet Allah. In more advanced countries the actual detonation is by a remote observer. Probably for this reason and also in case the bomber has a sudden surge of rational thinking.
Well, he showed up in the right place.
Maybe he objected to the marriage.
