Umm.... why? It is a loan. Which means that they will pay it back.
My church has not applied for any money but we do run a food bank and other charities. We occasionally are offered grants and such to help with these endeavors.
Are we suppose to turn them down because we are a church rather then a 501-c3?

These “loans” were agreements not to fire people (keeping them gainfully employed) and if you met those conditions the loans would be forgiven.
Maybe Joel Osteen could fork over some of his booty to help take care of the church. I do not believe Jesus intended for the leaders of the church to be RICH!

Dave Ramsey had a different set of reasons for churches not to accept PPP. It makes you dependent on the government, and it gives them a way to manipulate you - through new mandates you must meet to get loan forgiveness.
