Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Lambs, Sheep, and Shepherds
.
Psalm 57
For the director of music. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” Of David. A miktam.[b] When he had fled from Saul into the cave.
1 Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
for in you I take refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
until the disaster has passed.
2 I cry out to God Most High,
to God, who vindicates me.
3 He sends from heaven and saves me,
rebuking those who hotly pursue me—[c]
God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.
4 I am in the midst of lions;
I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
whose tongues are sharp swords.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
6 They spread a net for my feet—
I was bowed down in distress.
They dug a pit in my path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.
7 My heart, O God, is steadfast,
my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
8 Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
10 For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

God of Our Fathers,
Our God and Our King,
You are the Same
Yesterday, Today, and Forever.
You Guided Our Forefathers
And Led them to Found This Marvelous Country.
You inspired generations of people yearning to be free
To travel across treacherous oceans to start a new life here.
You kept us during civil war, foreign wars, depression, recession, polarization, and scandal
You have always been with us, for those who have eyes to see You and ears to hear You.
We Know that you are With us.
We pray for Our fellow Americans affected by this vicious pandemic.
We pray for the safety and integrity of those investigating the election.
We pray for the Repentance, Restoration, and Renewal of Our Beloved Nation.
LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.
We Pray For Our President,
And other Leaders of Our Beloved USA
May They Receive Wisdom from You
To do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Establish His Kingdom,
and Make All Things Right.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.

Hallelujah and Amen

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Our church is able to stay open during these dark days because of strict sanitary protocols. On the door of the Ladies Room there is a chart stating each step of cleaning and sanitizing, with a space for a signature each time the process is done. Last Sunday, after a fine service with excellent teaching and preaching, I went to the Ladies Room and happened to look at the chart. Every box was signed, meaning that the strict sanitizing had taken place. The name in every box was the same...FRANK.
Frank is the Pastor.
This Beautiful Psalm of David has the experiences of a shepherd running through the lyrics. God's protection against the enemy is compared to a Shepherd's protection of his sheep from wild animals, bad weather, pits and snares, and other perils.
There is a reason that certain ministers of the Gospel are called "Pastor". The ministry of a Pastor (which means "Shepherd") is that of protecting, feeding, and caring for God's Flock. There are other jobs in ministry, such as Evangelist, Teacher, Singer, Prayer Leader and so on, but sometimes the pastor wears all of these hats at the same time.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
"He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

Psalm 24
Of David. A Psalm.
1 The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,
the world, and those who live in it;
2 for he has founded it on the seas,
and established it on the rivers.
3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4 Those who have clean hands and pure hearts,
who do not lift up their souls to what is false,
and do not swear deceitfully.
5 They will receive blessing from the Lord,
and vindication from the God of their salvation.
6 Such is the company of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob.*
Selah
7 Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is the King of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O gates!
and be lifted up, O ancient doors!
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory.
Selah
